Battle train station is one of my choices for filming because of the surrounding areas, the alley way, the country road, the open train crossing and the architecture of the station. The idea of having the train station sign in my music video seems like a good idea as in my video my actress, Sarah is going through a breakup and is trying to move on but she can’t, Sarah is slowly becoming self-destructive with the hope of relapsing into love. Most of my music video will be filmed in Battle as the buildings in the town and rural areas will allow me to capture shots that fit well with my song choice ‘ A Drop In The Ocean’ by Ron Pope.
Battle AbbeyThe Abbey in Battle is a part of British Heritage from 1066. The abbey ruins are visually pleasing and I would like to capture a few shots in front of this building because I feel as if on camera, this building will looks amazing and will relate to both the lyrics and the visuals that I have planned for my coursework. Shadows from the building and over the shot shots will be used here to try and gain the full effect of the architecture of the building. Benches in the area will be a big part of mise-en-scene as they will play a big part in the seating of Sarah and the shots I will take due to heights and angles.
Brighton (sea front)-Emergency Services: 999
(If I need emergency services to do with the sea, call 999 and ask for the coastguards)
I want to capture shots in Brighton as it is a place I can relate to, from a place where people can express themselves to a place where I will be attending university in September 2016. A fresh start. I want to capture shots of the tide rolling in ‘a drop in the ocean’, the sun light reflecting onto the waves of the tide coming in and shots of the sky will look good together and tie in well with the lyrics of my chosen song. I will shoot my music video in the daytime7 with the hope that the final outcome of clips I have recorded will be visually pleasing.
