Patient Advocate/Author/Grief Support Facilitator
Spring Grove, PA
Lynn Eib is the founder and
facilitator of a Grief Prayer
Support Group in south-
central Pennsylvania,
where since 1996 she
has worked as a patient
advocate, offering
emotional and spiritual
support to cancer patients
and their caregivers. She
speaks nationwide on such topics as “When God &
Grief Meet,” “Faith and Medicine,” “When God &
Cancer Meet” and “Laughter as Healing Medicine.”
She is the author of four books, including When God
& Grief Meet, which shares true stories of comfort
and courage for every griever. Lynn also wrote the
inspirational commentary for the He Cares New
Testament with Psalms & Proverbs, especially for
those dealing with chronic or serious illness.
Lynn has a B.A. in journalism from Ohio State University
and spent many years as a newspaper reporter and
magazine freelancer until 1990 when she was
diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer at the age
of 36. Shortly after that, she felt God calling her to
encourage cancer patients and has spent more than
two decades in ministry to hurting people. The Cancer
Prayer Support Group she founded in 1991 is the
country’s oldest spiritually based cancer support group.
Lynn has been married for 40 years to a now-retired
pastor and they have three grown daughters and five
grandchildren under 4. Her husband’s first wife died in
1971 from ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) when they were
newlyweds.
“I believe you are going to discover two thingsin this valley: You are much stronger than you think…and God is much greater thanyou think.”
Lynn Eib, author of When God & Grief Meet
d e S c R I P t I o n
Lynn Eib will share her gift of encouragement in this
heartening message for mourners. She specializes in
sharing stories of grievers, because she believes it
helps for you to encounter others who have walked
similar roads and faced similar tragedies. Their real-life
stories will meet you in your sorrow and inspire you
with the hope and strength you need to go on.
You won’t hear pat answers, clichés or easy-fix
formulas, but you will hear the truth about grief—and
especially the fact that “The Lord is close to the
brokenhearted; He rescues those whose spirits are
crushed.” (Psalm 34:18)
o B j e c t I v e S
To LEARN six truths about grief that can serve as a
foundation for your healing journey.
To HEAR true, inspirational stories of other grievers
who have found comfort and courage to go on in spite
of their losses.
To BELIEVE that God specializes in consoling those
who mourn.
