Unzipping the Software
Using winRAR:
After downloading Local Sniper, you have to unzip it. To unzip Local Sniper, we
recommend you to use “winrar”.
If you don’t have Winrar, just download it from given
link:http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm
Right Click on the .rarfile of
Local Sniper
Select “Extract Here”
Local Sniper is Unzipped now!

Using 7-zip:
Step 1:
Open 7-Zip File
Manger
Step 2:
Select the file you
want to unzip, and
click on Add button.

Step 3: Click on Extract button.
Select a file to unzip.
Click on Extract button.
Step 4: Path /folder where to unzip
7-zip manager will assign a default path but you can change the path by
clicking on button and selecting your desired folder.
Press ok button.
Local Sniper is Unzipped now!

Installing Local Sniper:
Step 1: Double Click on the Set Up of Local Sniper
Step 2: Select Next in Welcome Wizard

Step 3: Select the folder for installing Local Sniper
You can change the default folder
by clicking on Browse button.
You can also set permission of using
local Sniper by checking one of the
check boxes shown.
Step 4: Confirm Installation
Software will ask you to
confirm installation.
If you want to install Local
Sniper, click “Next”.
If you want to cancel, click
“Cancel”.
If you want to go back, click
“Back”.

This will take you to our support site; if you have the queries, our support desk is there to
help you. You can ask any of the questions and our support will answer you.
Check for Update:
You will receive updates for the software; you
can install those updates in order to make the
software perform better.
About:
This option will provide you information about
the version of software you are currently
using.

Tools Menu:
When you will select tools option, drag down menu shown below will appear:
Click on the Settings option, an application window will open.
Application Settings:
Application settings allow you to manage and change your email server setting, proxy
server settings, and email templates.

Email Server Setting:
Email sever setting allows you to add, edit, and delete your email server. By defining
your Email server settings, you will be able to send emails from the Local Sniper.
Read the instructions in figure:
Add a new account
In order to add a new account, you need to enter your information in the required fields,and
then have to click on “Add” button.
After this, click on “Save Settings” and your settings will be saved and displayed below in the
table with your Email Address and Sever Name. You can add one or more email addresses.
Edit an account
If you want to make changes in any of your previously added Email accounts,
You need to click on that account in the table below,
Change the details you want to (e.g. password),
Click on edit, and save the settings.

Configuring a Personal Domain account

Server Name: You can get this information from the control panel of your domain

Let’s configure an account. Suppose we have adomain name “xyz.com”.
Step 1: Connect to Cpanel
Go to your browser and type xyz.com/cpanel .
Click on Log-In.

Click on Email Accounts
A new window will be opened,
which will be having all the
email accounts information.

You will get the outgoing

number from here.

Step 5: SMTP Server
To get the Smtp server for
personal domain configuration.
You need to run the Windows
Command line,
Click “Start”,
Type “cmd” and press enter.
Now ping your server name here,
as shown in the figure.
Type “ping <yourservername>”
and press enter.
You will get your Smtp server.
Syntax: ping mail.xyz.com
Now you have all what you need to setup and configure your personal
domain account with Local Sniper!!!!!

Email Template Settings
Email template settings provide you the service by which you can write your email
and save it as template that will be sent from Local Sniper.
Add a New Template
You can add email templates to the software. This determines what emails you send out to
people.
Add a subject for the email, then come to the main body, finish your email with suitable
salutations.
Click on "Add Template" to save this email. You can add unlimited templates to the software.
Edit an Existing Template
If you want to make changes in any of your previously added Email templates,
You need to Click on that template,
Change the details you want to (e.g. Subject, Body),
Click on “Edit Template”, and save the settings.

Proxy Settings
What is proxy?
Proxy server acts as an intermediary for requests from the clients seeking resources from
other servers. A client connects to the proxy server, requesting some service, such as a file,
connection, web page, or other resource available from a different server.
How to set up a proxy server with Local Sniper?
When you request data for a number of times from the same website, the website
might block your IP. In order to avoid this issue, proxy settings are used.
Upload a proxy file
from your derive.
NOTE: The format of file
should be“.csv”.
Check “Enable
Authenticated proxy
settings”.
Enter user name for the
proxy.
Enter your password for
proxy.
Set random delay per
request from the drag
down menu.
To save settings, click
on Save Settings.
Proxy servers are available on the internet; some are free while you have to pay for some.

How to find free proxy Server?
Go to www.proxy4free.com
Next step is to find the IP address of
proxy server.
Run the Windows Command line,
Click “Start”,
Type “cmd” and press enter.

Set Scheduler
Scheduler is basically setting up a campaign, to collect leads on a set day/time. Users can
schedule their campaigns selecting their desired website and keywords.
Select Website

Set scheduler time (when

scheduler
If you want to set a new Scheduler
then you can click on set scheduler,
it will over-write the previous
scheduler.

Queues in Local Sniper
Local Sniper is providing a function by which you can easily send mail to any email
address you find in the search results. Queue keeps a record of Emails you have sent.
From: Your mailing server
To: Your chosen email address among the search results
Schedule: Time of sending mail
Status: The status of email message whether it is sent or not
Select all records from queue
Delete any of the records
Stop sending emails
Stop sending emails.
Stop sending emails.. Send email to any records from the queue
Deletes all records in queue

Sent Email
Emails sent from the software are shown in the “Sent” folder of your email ID.

Leads and Email Campaign Management Template
Local Sniper offers great value to your search now by offering a Leads and Email Campaign
Management system. It's a complete system where you can keep track of your search and
follow up your contacts. When the user will export data from LocalSniper, he will get this
"System Template" as Sheet 2 of the same excel file. Now the user will have the search results
and the "Leads management system" on the same file!

Leads and Email Campaign Management
You can keep a complete record of the followings:
The day you performed the search;
The website you searched on;
The keywords you searched for;
The results you got;
The contacts you send emails to;
The email templates you send to your contacts;
Replies you got from the contacts, if any.

Local Sniper software will add value to your search by making a list of all the results. What
you need to do is;
Choose the Website from Drop-down list.
Enter the Keywords.
Enter the Location.
Click on the “Start Search” button to let the software generate results for you.
The search will
automatically stop once

search process, however,it

clicking on “Stop”.

11) Why am I getting incomplete information about my leads?
Answer: Local Sniper only provides you the information available on your selected web
directory.
12) I can’t send any emails from Local Sniper.
Answer: Please make sure that your email account has been configures perfectly with the
software. Visit our “Email Settings” section in the User Manual and configure accordingly.
13) I can’t export my search results in an excel sheet.
Answer: You have to select the search results you want to export in an excel sheet, you have
the options to export all or some of the search results. Kindly refer to our “Leads and Email
Campaign Management” section in the User Manual for the export function.
14) Why I cannot see email addresses in the results?
Answer: Because some websites do not provide this information, the software will only pull
the information that is available on the selected webs directory.
15) What are the Location Selection and Category Selection options for?
Answer: Location Selection and Category Selection websites are for more targeted search.
Not all websites use these options, you can use them only if the website allows.
16) What if the software hangs and stops generating results?
Answer: You can reset the search. If it still does not work then you just need to shut down the
software and launch it again.
17) I couldn’t get the desired results even after trying many times?
Answer: Just check your keyword and location; try some other keyword to see if the software
is working properly or not.

18) Why I cannot see the top search results on the list?
Answer: The software doesn't include advertisements in the list. Usually Search Engines have
advertisements at the top of their search results; software ignores the advertisements and
scrapes the other data into the list.
