Organized by
Department of Mathematics BITS Pilani, Pilani Campus, Rajasthan
About the Institute
A premier institute of India, Birla Institute of Technology and Science,
Pilani (BITS Pilani), was deemed to be a university in 1964. With the recent expansion to the Goa, Hyderabad and Dubai campuses strategic
plan, BITS Pilani has emerged as a University for Excellence in science,
technology education and research. The 240 acres self-contained Pilani campus boasts of its neatly laid original design along with the recent
additions of new academic building, library, sports complex etc. The
Pilani Campus hosts the state-of-the-art technology for teaching and research that empowers its intellectual core, especially, a signature
network capability that brings the four campuses on a roundtable and
shares classrooms and cross-campus activities. On-campus research facilities and active inter-disciplinary research approach have
successfully attracted good amounts of research funding from
government agencies as well as private bodies/industry. BITS Pilani steers forward to explore & establish a brighter tomorrow. For more
details, please visit www.bits-pilani.ac.in
About the Department

teaching & research, recently reinforced with enthusiastic young faculty
members. Active research in the frontier areas of both theoretical and applied Mathematics has been appreciated internationally. The
department continues to grow and attain new paradigms in Mathematics
education in the country.
About Vijñāna Parishad of India
Vijñāna Parishad of India is an international society dedicated to the applications of Mathematics in all fields of science and technology
founded in 1971-72 by Dr. R.C.S. Chandel (Founder Secretary) inspired
by Dr. B.B.L. Srivastava with collaboration of Prof. H.M. Srivastava
(Foreign Secretary) and Late Prof. J.N. Kapur (Chief Advisor) who
became President (1986-2003). Prof. Kapur was also elected the first
fellow of the Parishad in 1996. Since 1971, VPI regularly publishes journal JNANABHA (UGC care list). For more information, visit
www.vijnanaparishadofindia.org. In each conference, eminent scientists
are honored by VPI distinct awards. (i) Life-long Achievement Award (ii) Fellowship of VPI Award (FVPI) (iii) Distinguished Service Award
(iv) Young Scientist Award for best paper presentation each area
(v) Professor J.N. Kapur memorial lecture award.
Young Scientist award
There will be three young scientist awards for best paper presentation in the area of (i) Pure Mathematics (ii) Applied Mathematics
(iii) Interdisciplinary. Candidate who is below 35 years or has attain age
35 years on 30th Nov., 2019 will be eligible for being considered for
Young Scientist Award. The candidate who wish to submit the paper for
