Celador History

Celador is a huge global entertainment company which was formed in 1983.

It is best known for “Who Wants to be a Millionaire?”

They also successfully sued Disney over rights of who wants to be an millionaire, it took them 6 years but they won, they won $320 million,

Jasper Carrot and Paul Smith were the ones who created Celador.

It has eight Oscars including best director and best picture in 2009 for Slumdog Millionaire.

They have been taken over by Complete Communication

They have brought there self back so now they are and independent Production company,

Operating Model

Celador is a production company that makes film but only on a project-by-project basis.

They are only allowed to make certain films, or TV programs.

They get their funding through bank loans, investors, or they could do it by personal finance.

Celador could/might get together with other small companies and make a film by putting all of their money together.

They also distribute fees by the distributor before its made,

budget to help fund the rest of the budget.

Celador have only made seven films in the last ten

years and they are quite popular,

Even though it is a small production company, they

have huge compaction amongst other growing

production companies, and they are growing bigger.
