During your ‘speed teach’ activity you must give and receive information under a time limit. You must SHARE information and ASK each other questions.

Focus on these areas: Copernican Revolution with reference to Kant Phenomenal and Noumenal Pure and Practical Reasoning Good will Duty for duties sake Categorical and Hypothetical imperatives Three formulations of the categorical imperative Summom Bonum

Given that a lot of the concepts are in someway connected with each other, means that you should be able to reference them regardless of what the question is asking in the exam.

E.g. If the question focuses on categorical imperative, then you can still mention Good Will, Duty for duties sake, Practical Reason, Noumenal etc.

1. 1 minute on your response to the title

2. 1 minute explaining why your opponent is wrong.

3. 3 questions aimed to trouble your opponent.

4. A 30 second summary explaining why you’ve won.

RULES: 1. If you are on one of the debating teams, you will be individually representing your side in one of a number of

head to heads!2. Carefully prepare your points and questions as a group, but

remember, when the debate begins, you’re on your own!3. The judges decision is final.

Students take the ‘hot-seat’ and must face a barrage of questions from the audience.

Each question asked must relate to the topic of Kantian Ethics, and it must be a question which is likely to come up in the exam (Mr Costi will judge

appropriate questions)

The challenge is to remain standing at the front for as long as you can without getting a question wrong, or taking too long to answer a

question.
