Thisdocumentdescribes themanner inwhich to installanduse theLocalLoadingTool (LLT).This toolallowstheusertodownloadapplicationsintheterminalswithTELIUMtechnology.Inthecontinuationofthisdocument,thefollowingdesignations:

ToinstallandusetheLLTsoftwarefollowthedifferentstepsdescribedbelow: Softwareinstallation ConnectionConfigurationwithterminalaccordingtotheusedWindowsplatform. UseofLLTfunctions

2. Environment

LLTsoftwarerunsunderMicrosoftWindowsplatform: Windows2000ProfessionalServicePack2Minimum. Windows2003Server WindowsXP WindowsVistaProfessional WindowsSevenProfessional

InorderforthesoftwaretorunthecomputerwherethesoftwareisinstalledmusthaveaCDROMdriveandaserialorUSBport.

3. Softwareinstallation

You must have administrative privileges to install and to uninstall this program. This includes havingadministrativeprivilegesthefirsttimeyoustartyourcomputerafterinstallingoruninstalling.LLTuseport IP6000 fordata exchange.Theuseof thisportmustnotbe forbiddenby thenetworkadministration(Firewall,VirtualPrivateNetwork(VPN))ormustnotbeusedbyanotherapplication.BeforeinstallingtheLLTapplication,makesurethatallapplicationsareclosed.Then,inserttheCDROMcontainingtheLLTsoftwareandfollowinstructionsoftheLLTsetup.IfyourPCdoesn't run thesetupautomatically,click"Start"button from the taskbar,choose"Run ...",then "Browse ..."CDdriveand select "LLT_setup.exe".Launch setupafter clickingon the "Open"and"OK"Button.Onceyouhavecompletedthesetupprocedure,youcanlaunchthetoolbydoubleclickingontheLLTiconorfromStartbutton,choosePrograms>TELIUMTools>LLT>LLT.

FromtaskbarclickStartandchoosePrograms>TELIUMTools>LLT>UninstallLLT.

5. UseofLLTfunctions

LLTallowsdownloading software componentsorparameter files in the terminalduringadownloadingactivity.Italsomayallowuploadingdiagnosticfileduringadiagnosticormaintenanceactivity.

5.1. Softwarecomponentdownloading

SelectthedownloadingactivityintheLLTmenu.ActivityDownloading Connecttotheterminal(seeConnectingtotheterminal) MoveintheLLTexplorerinordertoselectthecatalogfilescorrespondingtothecomponentsto

bedownloaded(seeFileselection).

Downloadthecomponent(s)intheSWAPdirectoryoftheterminal(seeFiletransfer). Disconnect(seeDisconnectingtotheterminal).Thevalidcomponentsaretransferredinthe

SYSTEMdirectoryinordertobeused

5.2. Parameterfilesdownloading

YoucandownloadaparameterfileusablebyanapplicationintheHOSTdirectoryoftheterminal.Note:theapplicationusingthisparameterfilewillhavetodeleteitafterusing.

SelectthedownloadingactivityintheLLTmenu.ActivityDownloading Connecttotheterminal(seeConnectingtotheterminal) GotoHOSTdirectorybyclicking iconorwithCTRL+Bkeys. MoveintheLLTexplorerinordertoselectthefilestobedownloaded(seeFileselection). Downloadthecomponent(s)intheHOSTdirectoryoftheterminal(seeFiletransfer). Disconnect(seeConnectingtotheterminal).

5.5. Connectingtotheterminal

Beforethefirstconnection, CheckConnectionConfigurationwithterminalinfunctionofplatformMicrosoftWindowsused. makesuretheserialportcableortheUSBcableiscorrectlyconnectedtothePCandterminal. CheckTerminalisreadytobeconnectedwithLLT.TheterminalmustdisplayLLT.

5.7. Selectionandfiletransfer

5.7.1. FileselectionThe selection of .Mxx (Mxx corresponding to the catalog file extension ) allows the user to view onlycatalogfilesoftheselection.Insuchmode,ifacatalogfiletransferiscarriedout,allfilespresentinthatfilewillbetransferred,exceptedthecatalogfiles(*.Mxxextension).

Selecting *.* in the list associated to the file list, allows the user to view all files and subdirectoriesfromthecurrentdirectory.Inthismodeallselectedfileswillbetransferred.

5.7.3. CopyFileListYoucancopythelistofselectedfilefromthecurrentviewtotheclipboardwiththepopupmenuorwiththeCTRL+Ckeys.


5.8. Displayingandconsultation

5.8.1. DirectaccesstoadirectoryofthecomputerSelectthedirectoryinthelistofthefavouritedirectories.

Toaddapathinthelistselectadirectoryinthetreeviewthen UseSHIFT+Inskeys Orusethepopupmenu(withtherightbuttonofthemouse).

Todeleteapathinthelist,selectthedirectorynameinthetreeviewthen UseSHIFT+DELkeys Orusethepopupmenu(withtherightbuttonofthemouse).

WhentheLLTapplicationisclosed,thecurrentdirectoryisstoredinthelistofthefavouritedirectories.AtthenextLLTexecution,thisdirectorywillbethecurrentdirectory.

5.8.2. DirectaccesstoadirectoryofthecomputerFromPCViewuseCTRLJkeystogotoTerminalvieworclickontheTerminalview.FromTerminalViewuseCTRLKkeystogotoPCvieworclickonthePCview.

5.8.3. DirectaccesstoadirectoryofthecomputerAdoubleclickonthefileitselforpressReturnkeyafterselectingthefiledisplaysinawindowthefilecontentsintextmode.


5.8.4. Componentsignatureconsultation

It contains the list of messages to be displayed by LLT. These messages are written in 2 differentlanguages:thelocallanguage(Englishbydefault)andFrench.

ItcontainsthelistofthefavouritedirectoriesthattheusercanaccessinoneclickfromLLT.Theusercanwritethedirectoriestobeaccessedeasilyinit.

10.5. ChangingLLTlanguage

Atfirststartup,LLTscreensaredisplayedinEnglish.ThelanguagemaybemodifiedviatheMenu"Language"orfunctionkeysCTRL+EorCTRL+L.Atnextstartup,LLTscreenswillbedisplayedinthelastselectedlanguage.

10.6. Defininganewtranslationlanguage

Alanguagefile(filewithextension.lng)isusedtotranslatethedifferentscreens,menus,andmessagesofthetool.Bydefaultthisfilecontains2languages(EnglishandFrench).Nevertheless,anylanguagecanbeused.Tousethelocallanguage,replaceinthelanguagefiletheFrenchtranslationbythelocaltranslation.
