BLOCK ASSEMBLY: Double Four Patch1. Sew (1) A 2 ¾" x WOF strip to (1) B 2 ¾" x WOF strip. Make (5) AB strip sets. Sub cut into (72) 2 ¾" AB sets.

2. Sew (2) AB sets, flip one set to make four patch. Make (36) AB four patches.

3. Sew (1) AB four patch to the left side of (1) C 5" square - Make (36) ABC sets.

4. Sew (2) ABC sets together, flip one set to make the Double Four Patch block. Make (18) blocks.

Half Framed block5. Sew (1) E 1 5/8" x WOF strip to (1) F 1 5/8" x WOF strip. Make (7) EF strips sets. Sub cut sets into (34) 7 ¼" EF sets.

6. With E strip next to D square, sew (1) EF set to right side of (1) D 7 ¼" square. Make (17) DEF sets.

7. With E strip at top, sew (1) E 2 ¾" square to the right end of (1) EF set. Repeat to make (17) EFE sets. Sew EFE set to the bottom of the DEF set.

QUILT ASSEMBLY Refer to quilt diagram for placement8. Block row Alternate Double Four Patch blocks with Half Framed blocks as shown. Place (1) B 2" x 9 ½" strip between each block. Sew row together. Repeat to make (7) rows.

9. Lattice row Sew (5) B 2" x 9 ½" strips alternating (2) A 2" squares and (2) E 2" squares as shown. Repeat to make (6) lattice rows.

10. Sew block rows and lattice rows together as shown.

BORDER ASSEMBLYMeasure width and length of quilt top to ensure border cutting sizes. Below are our sizes. 11. Sew (1) E 2" x 72 ½" border strip to each side.

12. Sew (1) A 2" square to one end of (1) E 2" x 51 ½" strip and (1) F 2" squares to the other end. Re-peat. Sew to top and bottom with A and F squares in opposite corners.

13. Repeat step 11 and 12 with D 4" x 75 ½" strips, D 5" x 54 ½" strips and E 4" squares for outside border.

FINISHING Cut batting and backing 3" larger than top on all sides. Layer backing, batting and top and baste or pin. When quilting is completed, trim excess batting and backing. Bind as usual.
