Stewardship: Parishioners Answering God’s Call There are many examples of stewardship exhibited last week by our many volunteers and Prince of Peace staff participating in Vacation Bible School. Beginning with the teens who volunteered to help the teachers, to the adults who volunteered to be classroom teachers and specials (art, music, snacks, games, etc.) teachers to the staff who worked extra hours helping out. It took many hands to prepare for VBS and many more to actually execute it successfully. Our Stewardship slogan of “All Are Welcome” was very evident!
Please submit your stewardship story examples to [email protected]. They may be edited for space consideration.
Religious Education
Vacation Bible School was a huge success with 350 ‘animal critters’, 67 Adult Volunteers, and 130+ Teen Volunteers!! We learned Bible Stories teaching that Jesus Loves You - No Matter What. We learned new songs, created fun crafts, heard wonderful stories, played fun games and had wonderful snacks! We had a special treat from the Kona Ice Cream truck and a VBS finale Music Program and Pizza Party. Whew! MANY, MANY thanks to our wonderful and patient volunteers! Without them we could not have had such a fun-filled week. Mark your calendar for next year and plan to join us!! Looking for a stewardship activity in the Formation Ministry? We can always use a helping hand. Please contact Megan Everett at [email protected] or stop by the Religious Education office to find out about ways in which you can help. Upcoming Events: Summer Sunday School: Classes June 8, 15, 22, 29 during the 8:30 and 11:00 am Mass times. No registration required. Volunteer teachers are still needed.
