Curriculum Overview Core Classes—regular and advanced options are offered in each year of the program Language Arts Math Humanities Science Spanish High School Credit Courses Students meeting prerequisites may earn High School credit in the following courses: Algebra 1, Algebra 1 Honors, Geometry Honors, Physical Science Honors, Spanish 1, and Spanish 2. Exploratory Wheel Classes In addition to the core classes, students may also take Art, Digital Arts, Technology, PE, and Band Graduation By Demonstration (GBD) 8th grade students develop and present a GBD project and learning portfolio as a culmination of their learning experiences in middle school. The IB Areas of Interaction

The five IB Areas of Interaction are used to connect academic content to real world situations. They are: Approaches to learning (ATL) Students learn study skills, research skills, time management, organization, and academic responsibility. Community and Service Students take an active part in the communities in which they live, thereby encouraging responsible citizenship. Human Ingenuity Students explore the processes and products of human invention and creativity. Environments Students develop an awareness of their interdependence with the environment.
