The Australian Cattle Veterinarians (ACV) is one of the largest special interest groups of the Australian Veterinary Association (AVA) and our Cattle Veterinarian Conference is a key event in the AVA event calendar. Vets at the Cattle Vets Conference come for the expertly curated scientific program, the supportive collegial atmosphere and the friendly social program.
The Conference is designed for Australian Cattle Veterinarians who are predominately mixed practitioner veterinarians who have a special interest in bovines. Our vets have a strong role to play in supporting the health, welfare and efficiency of production animal farming, delivering products for both domestic and export markets.
The 2018 ACV Conference, titled Living on the Edge consists of three full days of scientific presentations (3–6 April) held at the Esplanade Hotel, Fremantle, Perth WA.
The ACV program showcases the latest trends in bovine veterinary practice. You will also find out about the latest products and innovations at the trade exhibition.
A preconference liver biopsy workshop will be held on Tuesday 3 April and a post conference bull testing workshop on Saturday 7 April.

The warm and sophisticated hotel includes some of Fremantle’s best restaurants and bars and proudly boasts one of the largest convention and exhibition facilities in Western Australia.
Only a three-minute walk away from the conference centre are local hotspots such as the Fremantle Esplanade Ferris Wheel, and the renowned Little Creatures Brewing.
