Living as a "night watch" in the Ronald McDonald House Middenwest-Brabant in Tilburg. Living in beautiful surroundings with another student (or two couples) in exchange for a responsible role as a ”night watch” and presence in the House every day from 9.30 pm to 8.30 am. Distance to Tilburg University +/- 7 km, 25 min by bike. We are looking for new “night watches”! You can move in immediately and the contract runs for 1 year (extension of contract is not possible). The Ronald McDonald House In the Ronald McDonald House Middenwest-Brabant stay parents, brothers and sisters of seriously ill children who are hospitalized in Libra Revalidatie & Audiologie location Leijpark and ETZ (Elisabeth-TweeSteden Ziekenhuis). Here they are within walking distance of the hospital bed day and night. To read a story. To give a goodnight kiss. Or for the moment when every second counts. The House is run by a small management team and a group of 120 enthusiastic volunteers who are present in shifts from 9.30 am to 9.30 pm. We have, under our license, an obligation to have the House staffed 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. That is why our "night watches" are present from 9.30 pm and responsible for the House till the next morning (8.30 am). During that period of time they are also the point of contact for the families who stay in our House. Description of accommodation “night watches” The accommodation of the “night watches” is located in a separate "little house" that is built against the House. The living space is accessible from the hallway in the Ronald McDonald House but also has its own back door that opens into the garden. The room is suitable for two students or two couples. Layout (see pictures): - 2 bedrooms, each with its own bathroom - A large shared living room with a dining table, fridge, kitchenette, large sofa and a TV. - Surface: +/- 80 m2 Facilities House The House has various spaces and facilities for the families who stay there. Most facilities can also be used by the Night watches. We make clear agreements about this in advance. Spaces and facilities: - 2 large living rooms - Office - Kitchen - Coffee machine with free coffee, tea, chocolate milk, etc. - Refrigerators - Freezers - Laundry room with washing machines and dryers (free to use) - Linen (free to use) - Large terrace with a table tennis table and around a garden

Tasks and responsibilities of the “night watches” From the night watches we expect that at least one person is present in the House every day from 9.30 pm to 8.30 am (then someone from the management is present). Other tasks: - Point of contact for guests - Evening check (windows and doors closed?) - Other tasks in consultation with management Profile of a night watch at the Ronald McDonald House Students who come to live in our House and who take on the task of night watch meet the following characteristics: - Reliable - Honest - Social - Good knowledge of the Dutch and / or English language - Responsible - Serious student - Neatly - Diligent - Socially skilled - Empathetic Do you see yourself living in the Ronald McDonald House and do you want to take the responsibility as a night watch?
