Knowing Compatibility continued…What are your interest? Do they coincide with

your roommate?Do the two of you have the same music taste?

(This is important because you will most likely hear a lot of the music they play.)

Do you and your roommate have the same goals? Because if not, you will have conflict if you’re a book worm and they are a party animal.

Trust:You need to be able to trust someone that you

are going to live with. If you can’t establish trust in the relationship, then you can’t possibly live together.

You need to do things in the beginning to build that trust.

Things such as rules and you need to both fallow these rules.

Page 7: Living Alone vs. Living with a Roommate…

Simple rules to fallow:Labeled foods are off limits if they are not

your labels.Don’t share razors, toothbrushes, combs, etc.Plan parties together.Plan out study nights.Establish time that you can be left alone to

study or think.

Page 8: Living Alone vs. Living with a Roommate…

Simple rules continued:Always be wearing decent under garments

when out of the bathroom or bedroom.(no nudist stuff)

Split the rent evenly. If you have to pay it all one month, then they can pay it all the next.Failure to do so should result in a new

roommate.Fallow these simple rules and add some of

your own in order to live a peaceful life with your roommate.
