Touch Football to be offered during Winter PSSA (David King)

Thoughts from different school delegates:

School: Thoughts: Holsworthy Happy to stick with Rugby League as concerns maybe that Touch would take over Nuwarra Stick to Rugby League Liverpool West Happy to try Touch as there are not enough supporting Rugby League over the

years Will have plenty of support for it

Chipping Norton Touch Footy would appeal more to the girls, happy to support. Will work out cheaper, if the venue is near Chippo

Dalmeny Concerns that it will affect Soccer and Rugby League numbers Hammondville Happy to go with it as further down the line it may ease the load from OzTag Prestons Happy to go with it as next year there will be no Rugby League team

• Vote taken to include Touch Footy in 2017, with an eye on numbers. • Schools only to enter one senior and one junior team • In favour : 25 • Against: 2 • Motion Passed!!!!

AFL (Alicia Kinniburgh)

• JNR: Liverpool West • SNR: Liverpool West • Hopes to splitting the comp into boys and girls

6. General Business:

Changes to AFL (Alicia Kinniburgh) • Having teams that are girls/boys and mixed teams (opens team) • Will benefit the girls greatly to be on a team of just girls • Changes will be further looked into next year • Will be flexible

Cricket (Charonne Brown) • Is there a set number of girls that are required in a pssa cricket team? • Officially there is no clearly ruling, majority are boys but girls are more than welcome!

SSW Orienteering Gala Day (Siabhan Bethe) • Sydney South west runs an orienteering day • Start with coaching and training at school level, once kids are ready send the team on to

be part of the orienteering fun • Schools can apply for grants to be upskilled in orienteering • Perhaps one day look at having a gala day as a zone

Draws (Josh Lanham) • With the amount of schools/teams competing in pssa, perhaps its worthwhile to look at

running pssa as east and west teams • Due to the amount of schools, we miss out on playing all schools during a season

PSSA semis/finals (Ashleigh Wilks) • Convenors can we please have the semi’s and finals draw at the start of the week and not

the day before as its too difficult to organise buses Pennants (Andy Mathews)

• Pennants are in! • Green smaller ones are awarded to winning teams and Large Yellow pennants are for

winning schools across our 3 major carnivals Uniforms (Michelle Snowdon)

• All uniforms need to be returned and will be kept safe for the following year • Please contact Michelle throughout the year if you need any
