Home Department Foreign DepartmentPujya Dadashri quite often used to mention two words in his satsangs - Home department & Foreign

department. The deeper knowledge of the Soul (self) and Matter (Non-self) was explained by citing

such commonly used phrases by Dadashri which are easy to understand by the present young

generation.

As such the words Home department & foreign department are commonly used to differentiate

two separate departments run by the Government. However, Pujya Dadashri has used these words to

clearly distinguish the department of pure self and non-self very effectively.

Home department includes the matters pertaining to our true self and development there-of that

enables us to realize the experience of our pure self. While foreign department deals with the matters

pertaining to the duties and obligations in the relative world that needs to be completed with

equanimity.

In general all those things which lead towards experience of self realization, absolute modesty to

gnani, following the principles of gnani, worshiping our pure soul that results in achieving permanent

happiness are classified under the ambit of Home Department. Whereas all the outer dealings in

the world and the work of antahskaran (mind, intellect, chit, egoism) are to be understood as the work

of Foreign department which are completely dependent on the scientific circumstantial evidences. To

remain attached to these conditions will lengthen our Sansara (cycle of birth and death).

Let us understand the meaning of these words in a deeper sense as elaborated by Pujya Dadashri.

If a big hurricane hits any Country and there is a loss of crores of rupees, five to twenty-five thousand

people died, and then what will the Indian Parliament say to the foreign minister? They will say,

Brother, you come to my office. We will have to write a letter for that country. What letter will they

write?

Questioner: The letter of condolence.

Dadashri: Yes. They will have to write a letter of condolence. So we know that how much these people

must be hurting so they are talking about writing a letter of condolence? But when we go there while

they are writing a letter, we see that they have tea and snacks on their table. They will be having a tea

and what will they ask to write, We are expressing our condolences. People feel very much hurt in our

country. We feel so sorry for the people who died over there. We do not like that. We will send you help

in any case. Do you think they are asking him to write the right thing? Or do you think they are asking

him to write the wrong thing? It is neither wrong nor right. So what can you call this? This is called

superfluous. He is speaking superficially. We have to learn that. Remain superficial in foreign (the non-

Self) and remain in home (the Self) at ease. Did you like this talk or not? Remain superfluous!

It is so that all will remain superfluous in Foreign Affairs and exact in Home Affairs. When the talk came

about foreign then superficial; grief and sympathy would be superficial. Nothing would be there from

inside. They will have tea and snacks behind closed doors. They will remain completely superfluous

there.

Similarly we have also two departments inside. Home (the Self) and foreign (the nonSelf). It is worth

staying superfluous in the foreign department. And one has to remain precise in the home

department. It is worth staying exact for only ones own self. Otherwise, it is worth staying

superfluous in worldly life interactions of mind-speech-action, like in foreign affairs.

All these files of the foreign (the non-self) department should not be taken into the home (the Self)

department. You should leave outside the files of the foreign department and then go the home

department. It is when one makes a mistake that problems arise.

On 26th January 2001, there was a

massive earthquake in Kutch. I, my wife and

daughter got buried under the debris and for

nearly eight hours we remained there.

Immediately when the building collapsed, we

were aware of Dadas Gnan! My little

daughter was under the debris but we

couldnt see her, we could only hear her voice.

My wife was beside me and her leg was

broken into two parts. When this sudden

incident happened, we had particularly

experienced that although we saw all this

happening in front of our eyes, we had got

buried under the debris, yet there was no

suffering within. For nearly half an hour we

went on talking to our daughter. At short

intervals she went on chanting Dada

Bhagwan na Asim Jay Jay Kar Ho; Hoon

Shuddhatma Chhu, Jay satchitanand and

finally passed away chanting Dada And

Niruma, within half an hour!

During those moments, without effort, we

remained in awareness of Dadas Gnan and

remained untouched by any suffering. During

that time, one divine experience occurred,

w h i c h w a s b e y o n d o n e s i n t e l l e c t .

Nevertheless, from the time we were buried

under the debris till the time we were rescued,

t h e r e w a s c o n t i n u o u s f r a g r a n c e o f

sandalwood around us, which both my wife

and I felt. In the next building a gas cylinder

had burst and fire had engulfed the house, in

spite of that smell fragrance of sandalwood

was much stronger. Every second we were

aware of the subtle presence of Dadashri and

Pujya Niruma with us. Mainly, it was Dadas

science which was effective, otherwise such

a miracle was impossible. If one is in

awareness of Akram Science then one can

survive under any circumstance, 100% without

an suffering. This I have actually experienced

and it is my intense wish that the happiness

which I have gained, may all get the same.

Dadashris Janmajayanti 108 @ Pune was a huge success with Mahatmas asarmukt dasha and

adjust everywhere spirit.

Behind the scenes, this event was organized amidst a natural calamity Rain.

Event started on time 22nd Nov 2015, 5pm. But heavy rain showers on 23rd and 24th Nov day

and night, brought the event to a standstill for normal public. All arrangements were

disturbed. Then too with just a day for reconciliation, Anand Nagari opened once again to

public from 26th Nov, 5pm onwards.

Let us hear about some behind the scene experiences of sevarthis who with their immense

faith in Dadashri, Niruma and Pujyashri overcame this natural calamity to share Dadas

AnandNagari with Pune Citizens.

ll of us were sleeping inside the puppet show dome, when

Athe water had started seeping inside the dome during the night. However, none of the sevarthis girls created any chaos. All of us were firm in our belief that Dada, Niruma and celestial

beings were with us so nothing harmful would happen. But students

from local schools around Pune were expected and if they should

miss out the Gnan was the only disturbing thought which made us

sad. But soon after, everything was once again set up and joy

prevailed. Enthusiasm doubled within everybody. We all got ready to

perform as many times as would be required.

n gyanvidhi dome, there were only three persons present when it

Istarted raining. Suddenly two sevarthis from nearby domes came to our help. Just so that Gnanvidhi Forms and other necessary items may not get damaged due to the rains, they stored them in safe place. In

order to take care of these items, some mahatmas had to spend the

night sleeping on the tables in that dome. All of them stated that they

had slept better than at home! All volunteers had to carry out each task

two to three times but they were neither upset nor tired. Moreover,

they thought that in spite of hardships; they would put in their best

efforts as non-doer. The new seekers should not be deprived of

receiving Dadas Gnan!

uring Pujyashris satsang, rain-water had started dripping

Dfrom several areas of the roof of the hall, yet the devotees would move on to dry areas and get engrossed in the satsang as if nothing had disturbed them! All the volunteers used to

help one another although they were completely drenched. Next

morning when they were provided lodging, none had any questions

or complaints but all adjusted with one another keeping in mind

Dadas 4th Agna.

n seeing the sudden change of environment, Pujyashri had said,

OWe will be facing lots of Natures fury, but not a single volunteer or mahatma will be affected. With such blessings of Pujyashri, volunteers had become positive for all dealings. In spite of the

downpour during the night, volunteers remained awake to make

arrangements for the lodging of mahatmas and were constantly

thoughtful about their safety and their belongings. In this heavy rain,

finally around 3.00 am (past midnight), sleeping arrangements were

made in the parking area of a commercial complex nearby, but not a

single mahatma had any complaint.

ll the cooks who were present during Janma Jayanti were

Avery positive saying, Come what maywe will get drenched, but will continue to prepare all the meals. Due to power failure, sevarthis served dinner with the help of mobile light.

Besides this, due to the rain, the sevarthis helped in shifting and

setting up the kitchen from one place to another within a day! Yet,

there was no sign of fatigue on anyones face. Instead, there was

joyful mood everywhere.

completely drenched while diverting the flow of gushing water. Water

had started collecting on the plastic-sheet roofs of domes. To avoid

further damage, they tried to spill out the water by slashing the plastic

or tilting the plastic with sticks. Their constant attempt was towards

the comfort of the mahatmas. It stopped raining the next day, but a

lot of damage had been caused. Within just one and half day the dome

was re-done! Single-mindedly, everyone worked with the belief that it

was Dadas Jagat Kalyan project, and positively held on to it so that

more people could receive Dadas Gnan.

ujyashree had said, Nature takes its own course and we have

Pto just adjust to Nature. All the 3,500 sevarthis who were toiling there held on to Dadashris 3rd Agna of Vyavasthit. Everyones presence of mind was unshaken, that Janma Jayanti will

be definitely celebrated in Pune, on time. None of the sevarthis were

worried even a bit about their boarding and lodging. All the

mahatmas experienced Pujya Nirumas and Pujya Deepakbhais

unflinching grace on them was the reason behind their tremendous

faith in Dadas Gnan.

uring this mishap, we experienced the 3rd Agna of Dada and on

Drealizing that the whole world is manipulated by Vyavasthit Shakti we remained unshaken. Come what may, we would participate in the Janma Jayanti celebration was our constant positive

thought. Instead of decreasing, our enthusiasm increased and it

resulted in firm bond with one another. Our liking for one another also

increased.
