From the Director’s Desk…
We are so thrilled to be back in the classrooms with your little angels! Our Break-fast with St. Nick was a success. It was great to see so many families here. Please join me in thanking Stefanie Duncan for working so hard on our Scholastic Book Fair. I hope you were able to find some great books to give as gifts this year, I know I did! This has pro-vided us with over $400 in Scholastic Funds. We also want to thank Tom Cappiello, the head of our Parish Teen Ministry, our ECC teachers, and School of Faith volunteers who all worked so hard to create an awesome morning for our school and parish families.
Please mark your calendars for our upcoming PALS Meeting on January 13. Your lit-tle ones will be singing, so bring your camera! We will be providing information regarding School Choice for the students who will be going to kindergarten next year. We will also pro-vide you with information regarding our registration for next year, which starts on January 19th.
The teachers are excited to be back in the classroom getting the children settled back into their routine. They look forward to our celebration of Catholic Schools Week at the end of the month. We will be having lot s of fun games and activities for the children. Save the date- Friday February 5th - Join us, here on the St. Luke campus, for our Sixth Annual “One Enchanted Evening”. This is a family event! Your children will enjoy fun crafts, balloon art, play centers, and a snack as you enjoy a Mardi Gras’ style evening out. Our Mardi Gras’ fun will include casino style games, raffle baskets, and a silent auction, as well as delicious appetizers, desserts, coffee, beer and Sangria.. This is our biggest event of the year! So invite your neighbors and tell your friends about this fun event! (Children’s entertainment and babysitting for St. Luke ECC families only) If you or your employer would like to help sponsor this event please let us know; all donors will be recognized. Each company or family sponsoring a casino table, $225.00 donation, will be recognized not only in event signage, the newsletter, and the church bulletin; they will also have a recogni-tion plaque on one of the game tables. Since this is our main fundraiser, and we do not have a parent group president this year, we are asking each family to reach out to a local business for a raffle or silent auction donation. Suggestions: a gift certificate for a day at the spa, a basket of pet grooming supplies, a certificate for a 2 night stay at a resort, manicure/pedicure, beer or sangria for the event, restaurant gift certificates, etc. A letter with our tax number is attached and will be sent home for this purpose; please feel free to copy this letter. Please return all donations to the school office by January 25th. Thank you so much for your help. “Many hands make the work light”. We look forward to an awesome time! Registration for next year is just around the corner. Please watch for information to come home soon. If you know of a family looking for a quality program for their children please invite them to come for a tour of our school, we would love to have them join our ECC family. If they join our school family, next January you will receive a $100 tuition credit. See the office for more information. A special thanks to the Glanzrock, Moody and See-graves families for recommending our school. As always we look forward to continuing our partnership with you in the education of your “little angels”! Thank you for your continued support. Wishing you a year filled with blessings, Kathie Mitchell

St Luke Early Childhood Center
is proud to announce our 6th Annual “One Enchanted Evening”
February 5, 2016 St. Luke Early Childhood Center
2757 Alderman Road Palm Harbor, FL 34684
This exciting evening with music, casino style games, appetizers, desserts, silent auctions and raffles, is the primary fundraiser for St. Luke Early Childhood Center.
For over 28 years, our center has provided the foundation for both spiritual and academic for-mation for nearly 100 children annually. Last year this event raised over $7,000, which was used for teacher continuing education and the purchase of iPads for each classroom. We are hoping this year will be an even greater success allowing us to provide teacher continuing edu-cation, and updated security technology. All donations are tax deductible and the funds bene-fit our non-profit center. Please consider a donation to be used in our Silent Auction, Raffles, or a monetary donation. Some suggested items are: gym memberships, vacation get-a-ways, gift baskets, gift cards, food trays, wine, etc.
All sponsors and donors will be recognized in our newsletter, signage and church bulletin. The total distribution reaches over 2000 families. Additionally if you make a donation of $225 or more you or your business will be recognized on a casino table plaque. Your donation of $325 provides recognition as stated above as well as tickets and a reserved table for 6.
Please send your donation in prior to January 25th to be included in our written literature. Thank you for your thoughtful consideration.
Our tax exempt non-profit 501(c) (3) number is 51-0561749. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to call the early childhood office at 727-787-2914.

Hello & Welcome Back!
We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas
and were able to enjoy quality time with family and
friends.
One Enchanted Evening is right around the
corner! For those of you who might not know, we
rely heavily on donations for this event to make our
raffles and silent auctions as enticing and profitable
as possible. If you own a business, have a family
member with a business, or if you just frequent a
business… please ask for a donation (goods or ser-
vices) on our behalf. Donation Request forms, as well
as tax exempt information, are available in the
school office. We appreciate anything you can do to
help make this event as successful as possible!
Please remember all profits from this event go di-
rectly back to our school … making it an even more
amazing place for our children to spend their days.
Also, if you are interested in volunteering your time
to help plan our One Enchanted Evening … please con-
tact the school office.
Our January PALS Meeting will be filled with
information. It will be held on Wednesday, January
13th right after morning car line. We will have infor-
mation regarding sign-up dates for kindergarten at
Guardian Angels, our feeder Catholic School, and the
fundamental schools etc. We will raffle off a KMO/
Lunch Bunch/ABC Certificate, One Enchanted Eve-
ning Tickets, and do our monthly tuition raffle. And
don’t forget the children will be entertaining us as
well!
Happy New Year!!!! As always, if you have any
questions, concerns, ideas, or the desire to make a
difference please contact the school office at 727-
787-2914.
From the PALS Board,
NEW YEAR BLESSINGS!
Religion Corner
Happy New Year!
Welcome back everyone! We hope everyone had a
great and restful holiday. We start off the month with the
celebration of the Epiphany. Epiphany translates to
“manifestation” or “vision of God” and celebrates the many
ways Jesus revealed Himself to the world as Jesus Christ.
This human manifestation is revealed in the Baby the Wise
Men in Bethlehem came to worship. Through the miracu-
lous star, God showed the Wise Men that Jesus was born to
be Lord and Savior of all nations. Later, in the Baptism of
our Lord, Jesus is again revealed to be a “vision of God”.
At the end of this month we will celebrate Catholic
Schools Week. Throughout the week the children will par-
ticipate in many fun activities .
Our Two year olds will be learning some new
prayers and reinforcing our daily prayers. We will also be
discussing our love for God, family, and friends.
The Three Year Olds will be talking about the birth
of Jesus and about the three Wise Men who came from far-
off lands to look for Baby Jesus. They loved God so much
and trusted Him to show them the way to Baby Jesus. They
followed the star until it stopped over the place where Jesus
was. We will be working and learning as we introduce the
children to the virtues of faith, hope and charity; and talk
about our families and how we care for each other.
This month the Pre-K classes will be discussing
families: The Holy Family, our Home Family, our Church
Family and our School Family. We will talk about how
families love and care for each other as the Holy Family
cared for one another. We will discuss Baptism and becom-
ing children of God and belonging to God’s family. We
will celebrate being part of the St. Luke ECC Family during
“Catholic Schools Week”- January 25-29.
Wishing you joy in the new year!

TAX NUMBER
For those of you needing our income tax identifi-
cation information for care providers, it is:
United Catholic Conference– St. Luke Early Childhood Center #51-0561749.
Reminder for Sick Students
Parents are reminded that if a child has
a fever, they are to stay home from
school until they are fever free for 24
hours. Sending a child to school before they are
symptom free often sends the child into a relapse
causing them to miss more school and it also can
spread to other children. Please remember our
policy of not sending your child to school with signs
of illness. Thank you for helping us to keep all of
our children and staff healthy, happy and in school!
