Unlucky Lucy R.

CHAPTER 1

One day, two young sisters Madison and Lucy were playing on a high bridge that stretched across a river. They were playing on it because their dad was fishing and they forgot their fishing rods that morning. So they decided to explore and found the bridge. Madison got mad at Lucy and gave her a hard push. Madison watched as Lucy fell over the edge. There was nothing she could do. She pushed Lucy because she had called Madison a “dumb head.”!! Lucy was screaming “Daddy” because he was the closest to her but he could not hear her scream. But before Madison could blink Lucy fell under the water. After a short time Madison saw something rise out of the water. It was the ghost of Lucy. When Lucy saw Madison she went straight to Madison’s face and said “Unlucky” then flew away. Madison didn’t need to know more. She already knew she would be haunted by her sister for the rest of her life.

CHAPTER 2

! The next day at school Madison was in science class. Gesi (Madisonʼs friend) asked if she was okay but Madison didnʼt respond. She just kept shivering and looking around the class room like a scared puppy. She knew that the ghost of Lucy was going to come because it was 8:30 AM. That was the time when Madison pushed Lucy the previous day.

! Science was Madisonʼs best unit but she just couldnʼt concentrate today. Then it happened. Madison paused from taking her science test, looked down and saw she was immediately covered in bugs. Madison was screaming but then she stopped because she heard the word “unlucky”. ):

Page 3: Literacy Cottage Issue #4

“Madison did you hear that, it sounded like “unlucky”, said Gesi. But Madison was worried if somebody would say the word “unlucky” Lucy may come back and do something bad (but it wouldnʼt be so, because lucy didnʼt want to hurt Madison only scare her). Lucy did come back, said the “U” word and then she left. Madison got her test back when she left the class. When Madison saw that she got an F she almost fainted. Clearly you can see getting an F on a science quiz was worse then being covered in gross blood thirsty bugs.!That afternoon, Madison went to Candy Heaven. She was in the Dum-Dum section looking for a cotton candy Dum-Dum. When she finely found them they all turned to sand. Madison fell to the ground because she felt sorry for pushing Lucy off the bridge. Madison tried to tell Lucy she felt guilty for what she did but Lucy didnʼt listen. She just kept saying: “You killed me so now I will haunt you for the rest of your LIFE!!!”

CHAPTER 3! Lucy flew up to the assistant to God and asked “are you sure God is okay with this?” He nodded then left. But a part of Lucy knew it was not right. Anyway, Madison stayed home from school today because her dad, Thomas found out she killed Lucy. All she did for the day was sit in a chair in the corner and watch a clock. It was 8:29 when Madison screamed. Thomas came rushing to the kitchen. But before he could reach the living room, he fell. He was confused because he felt like he hit something. He put on his nerdy glasses then he saw a big glass window in front of him. Then he saw Lucy holding 2 rattle snakes and a python. They started to slither on Madison when Thomas yelled “STOP!!!”

Page 4: Literacy Cottage Issue #4

Lucy looked over at Thomas and the snakes lunged at the glass like it was a giant toad. Lucy looked sad. She rushed over to her dad and went threw the glass. Then Thomas blinked and she was gone. The snakes were gone, the window was gone. Thomas looked down and his eyes filled with tears, he was holding one of Lucyʼs favorite toys.

CHAPTER 4! Madison and Gesi went to the French Bakery at 3:30AM. Only the employees were there that early. It was so early because Madison kept having bad dreams and she didnʼt know what to do so she called Gesi. Gesi said they should go to the bakery to talk. Three hours passed , Gesi saw the look on Madisonʼs face and she said she would help. Madison called home and said she was going to be at the French Bakery for the day. 8:30 came and the friends were squeezing so tightly together they looked like they were attached to each other like coral.

The ghost of Lucy didnʼt come at all. Instead a little pink and black unicorn came. On the unicorns back there was a note attached. The note said...

Dear Madison,! Iʼm sorry for the way I acted. I talked to God and he said I can come back soon.! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! Love,! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! Lucy

Madison didnʼt know what she meant by “coming back”.

Two years passed and Madison was 14. The doorbell rang when Madison was playing fuseball with Gesi and Victoria. Madison said, “Iʼll be right back” and went downstairs. She saw a little girl. Then she leaned over and hugged her soooo hard. She heard Lucyʼs voice calling “Madison, Madison”. Then the calls got louder and louder, “Madison, Madison”, and she could actually feel Lucy in her arms. Then she heard Lucy yell, “Madison, Madison WAKE UP youʼre squeezing me silly head!”

Madison opened her eyes to the suns bright light. She saw her dad fishing on the river bank and she was squeezing Lucy so tight. It had all been a horrible dream. She couldnʼt let go of her cute, awesome, and wonderful little sister.

The End.

I went to my friends house for Trick-Or –Treating. Her name is Leah. My friends Niyat and Amanda came too! Leah was an Eskimo, Niyat was a cat and Amanda was Dorathy. It was really fun! Amanda’s dad was Scooby Doo! He was really funny.

We got lot’s of candy. I got a giant chocolate bar. Amanda has a dog named Daisy. Amanda gave all of us flashlights. We traded candy. I loved all of my candy so far. We got hot cider and hot chocolate with marshmallows in them. I left at 9:30 pm. Amanda left at 9:16 pm and Niyat had a sleepover with Leah. Leah and I are going to have a play-date next week. It will be fun! Niyat might come too. Alexis was supposed to come but she decided to go trick-or treating with her cousins. We stopped at her hose for trick-or –treating. I had dinner with Niyat ,Leah and Amanda. We had Pizza for dinner. After dinner we played a ninja game since I was a ninja for Halloween. I was the ninja in the game. I chased them. I loved it!

Boring StoryChapter 1

Okay. So here I am, in the forest. In front of me is a desk lamp and I’m opening an envelope. Then a burglar comes and steals everything! Wait – I think I missed some information. It’s me – the human. That’s all I can tell you. There’s nothing exciting about me – I’m just plain boring. So, here I’m walking and being boring. Still. Still walking. And still being boring. Great. Now I’m bored and boring. I need some exciting action! Then a random chair falls out of the sky. And a random Nathan was on it. Then Nathan and the chair disappear. Great. Just great. Now I’m bored. Again. Then I eat a potato. Wait – WHERE DID THE POTATO COME FROM??! Huh…from the sky? Oh yeah. Duh! I’m bored so I’ll tell you some info about myself. I’m male human (I think) and fairly normal. Okay, see ya’ later. Wait…not really. You know what? I mean – bye! Oh yeah…one more thing, still boring.

Commercial Break“Come buy our new Zebra Wink! With a press of a button, any zebra will wink at you. Only $11.99 apiece! Buy Zebra Wink now!”

Back to the StoryChapter 2

Great. Now I’m boring and bored and confused. “Hiccup.” Wow. Now I have the hiccups too. My life can get pretty confusing. Ha. That’s a funny word. Confusing. I wonder what it sounds like backwards. Ha. Gnisufnoc. Ha. I feel kind of stupid right at this moment.
