Literacies & Campus Context: Leading the Conversation Julia Feerrar, Virginia Tech Libraries are supporting a growing number of literacies. Definitions for and perceptions of these literacies can vary widely. How can those interested in or charged with exploring new literacies move forward? Explore vision, scope, needs, partnerships. Create a framework. Connect with partners by facilitating conversations and development opportunities. Jisc model & ACRL framework What and why? Who is excited and invested? What do they need? How are they thinking about digital literacy? What are we already doing well? Where are there opportunities? How? Feedback sessions and focus groups Day-long symposium On-on-one meetings Newsletter and listserv Explore and strengthen partnerships. Create learning opportunities, including online modules and workshops connected to the framework. Connect existing educational oerings to the framework. Alexander et al. (2016).
