Should you be elected what are three areas you would like to change, address, improve or further

research and how specifically would you go about it?

    1. I will increase programming at the schools to keep students at Midview without putting anyadditional burden on taxpayers and I have some innovative ideas for funding that can support

the school in these areas, and allow the opportunity to excel. For example, additional specialeducation and gifted programs for students, as well as expanded programs to help prepare our

kids for the future in business, foreign language, and the arts, etc. I would also like for us to

expand the extra-curricular programs such as sports opportunities and academic clubs. These

sorts of programs have been shown to improve overall learning and motivate students to do

well. These programs also connect the schools to the community, as well as prepare our

students to compete in a global economy. Best of all, they create a well-rounded student who

knows how to apply reading, writing and math in practical applications.

    2. The integration of technology is paramount for supporting childrens learning in the 21st century.I will ensure that the very best technology is in the hands of our students, and the people who

work with them personally, every day. There needs to be a more user-friendly web site that iscurrent and that offers parents and the community a plethora of resources. For example, the

district is desperately in need of more information about community resources, sports and

recreation, upcoming activities, special education, gifted education, and family-friendly local

activities that are easy to access. I will do this by analyzing where our technology dollars are

going and reallocating them appropriately. We also need an alternative for technological

communication since not everyone in the district has access to technology and as taxpayers, we

cannot exclude them. We must find creative ways to communicate with people who do not have

Internet access because of the cost, religious convictions, or they just do not want to use

    technology.

    3. I will work to make the schools more user-friendly for community members. I will foster realconnections with businesses for the benefit of the students and the residents. Our district

should sponsor regional job fairs, invite more business people in to help students with career

exploration and create a community, safe spot, in case of an emergency situation. I will do this

by working with administration, local businesses, colleges and organizations to integrate these

things into our school culture to unite the community.

Whether for past accomplishments or future goals, why should voters elect you?

Voters should elect me because I love Midview and the Midview community! This is my alma mater, as

well as my childrens alma mater-I have a vested interest in its success. I have been involved in a variety

of different organizations and have the skills and experience in business and education to help set the

district on a steady course. I will be a great spokesperson for the community because I care about our

students, our schools and our people. We have a beautiful campus buzzing with motivated students,

expert teachers, and supportive parents. I will work to make Midview a district that people feel

privileged to work in, live in and learn in.
