Linux is a third party to Microsoft and Apple software. Linux Professional Institute was founded in 2000.
In order to take the exam, the student must pay $186.00. LPI also offers free exam preparations to
students. In order to fully complete the exam, it takes almost up to one year. A few jobs available for

1.) How much does Linux certification cost?
Linux+ $239 (discounted for CompTIA members)
LPIC exams: $160 each for level 1 and 2 exams, $260 for level 3 core exam

2.) How long does it take to complete it?

allowed 90 minutes to complete the exam. However, in instances where we are piloting
new exam questions for future exam versions candidates will be allowed additional time.
