FIRM PROFILE

GETTING TO KNOW OUR CLIENTS LINDENGROUP begins every design process by getting to know the users and stakeholders. This is done through open discussion meetings, productive collaboration, design events with staff, and by simple clear communication. We will also examine the history of your organization and your plans for future development in order to better serve this project. CORPORATE OFFICE EXPERIENCE Our past experience designing corporate offices has strengthened our project team’s ability to collaborate and achieve buildable solutions that will serve your needs and meet your budget. We have just completed an corporate / laboratory building with Future Ceuticals, an international food products company, and have worked with many organizations to improve work space environments. Our understanding of furniture and storage systems allows us to maximize the usage achievable in every square foot. Linden Group also maximizes natural light to work spaces reducing the need for artificial light. We approach every office space we design with the intent to optimize both occupant and building performance. Several of our recent office projects have achieved Energy Star Certification. We strive for this to be our minimum performance standard. With responsible design practices this is attainable on every project.

CLIENTCOLLABORATION We believe in a collaborative process that provides our clients with a sense of ownership in design solutions. Linden Group integrates all clients into the design process through meetings & design seminars to insure the built solution will meet your needs. BUDGETRESPONSIBILITY We understand the importance of establishing and maintaining a budget as we proceed through design and construction process. We are committed to delivering a facility that aligns with Vein Clinics’ work process and is completed on time and on budget. A general project budget will be developed early in the design process that will identify project costs to ensure that available funds and construction costs are managed appropriately. QUALITYCONTROL LINDENGROUP prides itself on minimal change orders during construction. We achieve this by acquiring the necessary project information early in the design process, maintaining good communication with our clients, and completing well detailed bid documents. BID PROCESS We are familiar with competitive bid procedures and will assist Vein Clinics throughout the bid process as directed.

GREENDESIGN PRACTICE Our experience with the LEED certification process has given us an understanding of cost effective green building strategies that can be implemented into your project. These potential green design strategies include storm water management, waste management, utilizing environmentally conscious materials, recycled products, reflective roofing products, low flow plumbing fixtures, an efficient HVAC concept and more that can be discussed during the design phase of the project and implemented into the bid specifica-tions if determined appropriate.

Connection of man to nature was the ultimate focus of this corporate headquarters. The nature of their business dictated that the interior should have plenty of sunlight, an earth-toned finish palette and a “Green” story behind every finish and piece of furniture specified. Glass, stone and other natural materials dominate the lobby space, which is bathed in light from a large skylight. Earth-toned carpets reminiscent of the surrounding geography bring color and pattern into the offices and surrounding workspace. Ancillary spaces support the effort through the use of granite, wood and nature-inspired wall coverings and fabrics. COMPLETION: 2011 GROSS AREA: 30,000 SF (12,360 SF Offices)

The new Lansing Municipal Center features a generous entrance lobby with transactions desks for the General Village Business & the Planning/Building department. The lobby is intended to be welcoming and feature displays of village heritage and current community events. There is a community meeting room off of the main lobby facing Ridge road that serves village business in the day and various community groups in the evening. There is a central corridor that runs through the village staff office area that leads to the mayoral office. This corridor acts as a gallery that exhibits the identity of the village. The Linden Group has committed to maximizing natural light for staff throughout the building and has added skylights in areas to reduce energy cost and the need for artificial light. This makes the new municipal center a more enjoyable place to visit and work. There have been dramatic changes to the exterior appearance of the building in order to create a place that pronounces itself as the municipal center of the village. The new look offers an identity to Lansing. COMPLETION: 2009 GROSS AREA : 14,000 SF

TRAINOR GLASS CO. Chicago, Illinois

2010 AIA Excellence in Design Award American Institute of Architects—Eastern Illinois Chapter 2010 ALA Design Merit Award Association of Licensed Architects This project presented an exciting design challenge: to use glass as a dynamic building material, and break from the idea of glass used only as a "window" between interior and exterior spaces. Collaborating with the Client in the new venture of a “Design Center” concept created many opportunities for innovative uses of glass. This Chicago-style loft took on a whole new look once laminated glass and textured glass work surfaces dominated the space. Glass tile on the floor leads the customer to a metal and glass front coffee kiosk. Glass ceiling tiles float above a seating area surrounded by a glass railing system. A glass barn-door separates the public area from employee office spaces. The many forms of glass update this classic space into a modern showpiece for the Client’s new direction. Completion: 2010 Gross area: 8,000 SF

The entire project consists of three buildings encompassing over 120,000 SF of tenant space with underground parking. The goal was to create a building that would unite innovative commercial design with warm & inviting traditional-but-fresh design elements, making the building itself a tool which would benefit the tenants’ ability to do great business. LINDENGROUP HEADQUARTERS Orland Park, Illinois The LINDENGROUP studio is located on the first floor of the American Technical Publishers (ATP) office building in Orland Park, Illinois. LINDENGROUP joins ATP’s vision of commitment to the future by locating our headquarters in a building designated with Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification. The office lobby features a simple expression of materials including the use of eco-friendly Bamboo flooring, Bamboo wall panels, exposed structural and mechanical elements, drywall soffits, and a free form concrete counter top at the reception desk. These materials fold and wrap surfaces defining spatial volumes. The “origami” of folded materials flows between spaces and interconnects various office functions. Floor to ceiling perimeter glass provides maximum day lighting to work areas. The 5,500 square foot office space is organized in an open studio concept with work stations positioned along the glass and reference areas located toward the interior core. Adjoining work stations flow into each other as desk tops fold down and engage the floor. The work areas are linked together by collaborative areas that provide a variety of opportunities to share collective knowledge. In an effort to be sustainable and save costs, 80% of the built in casework was relocated from our Homewood location. Oak millwork was reconfigured to provide a unique style while providing a more efficient layout for work stations and the materials library. COMPLETION: 2009 GROSS AREA : 5,500 square feet
