Volunteers play a large role in the life of the community. It is often heard around town that if
you need a job done just ask someone from the Linden United Methodist Church. “Polling the
audience” would result in a staggering number of hours.
LUMC family members give of their time in the following:
American Heart Association, Boy Scouts, Cass County Genealogical Society, Cass County His-
torical Commission, Cass County Relay for Life for the American Cancer Society, Cass County
Retired School Employees Association, Girls Scouts, GSMC Linden Board, GSMC Linden Auxilia-
ry, Linden Chamber of Commerce, Linden City Council, Linden Garden Club, Linden
Healthcare, Linden-Kildare CISD Board of Trustees, Linden Lions Club, Linden Parks Board,
Linden Public Library, Linden United Methodist Church Community Food Pantry, Linden Youth
Athletic Association, MLK Jr. Parade, Mary Daughety Senior Citizens Center, Music City Texas,
Muscular Dystrophy Association, Northwest Louisiana War Veterans Home, Overton Brooks

memorial tribute to deceased members for calendar year 2013.
Texana Bank employees recently collected canned food
items for the LUMC food pantry. Pictured above are Vicki
Morse, John Baxter, Kerri Adcock, Maygan Roberson, and
Kim Roberson. The food pantry volunteers were very ap-
preciative of the efforts of the Linden branch employees
and distributed their donations in the March grocery bags.

worked with Linden-
Kildare Elementary in
the Junior Achieve-
ment program.
Among second graders
