At the March meeting of the Pelican Chapter of Daughters of the

American Revolution, Chaplain Nancy Belford conducted a beautiful

memorial tribute to deceased members for calendar year 2013.

Texana Bank employees recently collected canned food

items for the LUMC food pantry. Pictured above are Vicki

Morse, John Baxter, Kerri Adcock, Maygan Roberson, and

Kim Roberson. The food pantry volunteers were very ap-

preciative of the efforts of the Linden branch employees

and distributed their donations in the March grocery bags.

Hill. When the workers were short-handed on Tuesday, Sue

Hill tried to show Pastor James the correct packing method.

Picnic for widows and widowers were Kay-

lin Kluge, Marilyn Barrett, LaWanda Suel,

Ann Moore, Eldie Smith, Buster Kurtz, Cissi

Lanier, Sue Morse, Mickey Fears, Jo Miller,

and Barbara Alexander. Entertainment

was by Wes Hamilton. Providers were Lee

Ann Ross and John Fant. Servers were

Melissa and Glenn Lanier, Kim Robertson,

and Paul and Mary Jane Ellinger.

Singer/guitarist Wes Hall performed favorite songs at the All-American Picnic. Ruby Dowd, Barbara

Alexander, and Reba Fox were among the guests.

Door prizes for the All-American Picnic were provided by Ronnie Hamm, Frank

and Judy Lanier, Kim’s Convenience Store, Carla’s Flowers and Gifts, Uncle Juan’s

Mexican Restaurant, Lee Ann Ross, and John Fant.
