How would I know? Dr. John W. Siebert is no longer practicing medicine in the state of New York and is now a full time member of the staff at Wisconsin University Medical Center, Madison, Wisconsin. He was investigated by the NY Office of Professional Conduct for having sexual relationships with current patients. Dr. Siebert did not contest the charge of practicing medicine and engaging in conduct which evidences moral unfitness. Dr. Siebert received a three year license suspension and a permanent license restriction that requires him to have a chaperone present each time he treats or examines a female patient. A license suspension is one thing, but why does he need to have a chaperone present each time he treats or examines a female patient. What happened? What did the investigation reveal? What did he do to his patients? It must have been very serious to require a lifetime license restriction to protect future patients. If I am someone seeking to make an appointment with Dr. Siebert, will his stafftell me his license was suspended? Will they tell me he practiced medicine while engaging in conduct which evidences moral unfitness? Will they tell me he is required to have a chaperone present to protect me from him? Will they have a notice on the examination room door that states Dr. Siebert is required to have a chaperone present because of his conviction? I seriously doubt it, therefor I would be subject to him examining me not knowing his past just because someone recommended him. If I were seeking breast augmentation or labiaplasty, he would be examining the most intimate parts of my body. I would want the knowledge of his conviction and license restriction prior to having him examine me. [f I found out after the fact I would feel violated thinking about him touching me. Just the thought of it makes my skin crawl.

How would I know?

Dr. John W. Siebert is no longer practicing medicine in the state ofNew York and is now a full time member of the staff at Wisconsin UniversityMedical Center, Madison, Wisconsin.

He was investigated by the NY Office of Professional Conduct forhaving sexual relationships with current patients. Dr. Siebert did not contestthe charge of practicing medicine and engaging in conduct which evidencesmoral unfitness. Dr. Siebert received a three year license suspension and apermanent license restriction that requires him to have a chaperone presenteach time he treats or examines a female patient.

A license suspension is one thing, but why does he need to have achaperone present each time he treats or examines a female patient. Whathappened? What did the investigation reveal? What did he do to hispatients? It must have been very serious to require a lifetime licenserestriction to protect future patients.

If I am someone seeking to make an appointment with Dr. Siebert, willhis stafftell me his license was suspended? Will they tell me he practicedmedicine while engaging in conduct which evidences moral unfitness? Willthey tell me he is required to have a chaperone present to protect me fromhim? Will they have a notice on the examination room door that states Dr.Siebert is required to have a chaperone present because of his conviction? Iseriously doubt it, therefor I would be subject to him examining me notknowing his past just because someone recommended him.

If I were seeking breast augmentation or labiaplasty, he would beexamining the most intimate parts of my body. I would want the knowledgeof his conviction and license restriction prior to having him examine me. [f Ifound out after the fact I would feel violated thinking about him touchingme. Just the thought of it makes my skin crawl.

In the past I authored a letter titled "Heal thy patient do no harm". Iwrote this when I discovered that my friend who I regard as my sister was a

patient and one of the many victims of Dr. John Siebert's abuse.

To make a point I need to tell you that she recently lost her child to aneurological disease and states that she has accepted her passing easier thanaccepting that Dr. John Siebert took advantage of her vulnerability while she

was going thru the hardest time of her life. She tells me she can't get over thefeeling of being violated and the shame that she engaged in sexual relationswith Dr. Siebert. She feels that she let her daughter and her family down.

I just want people to know what Dr. Siebert is capable of and hope thechaperone will protect his patients. I also wonder who is going to protect thefemales that are not his patients.
