Dear Dennis: Thank you is hardly enough for the years of support and generosity you have given to our community based not- for-profit, South Coast Hospice program. Every day when we drive into the SCH campus, we are blessed to see the beautiful Hospice Community Bereavement and Education Center you helped to fund for our Hospice patients/families and our community Dennis Beetham . Thousands of individuals have utilized the services available at the Hospice Center and received life changing support and help through our counseling and grief and loss support groups. I know your motivation stemmed through the death of your wife, and the lasting effects of loss your family experienced during a most difficult time. The Center has truly met our goals and is a place for emotional healing.

Dear Dennis:

Thank you is hardly enough for the years of support and generosity you have given to our community based not-for-profit, South Coast Hospice program. Every day when we drive into the SCH campus, we are blessed to see the beautiful Hospice Community Bereavement and Education Center you helped to fund for our Hospice patients/families and our community Dennis Beetham.

You have many times since responded to our request for help in meeting the needs of the dying and their families admitted into the South Coast Hospice program over the last twenty nine years. There is no doubt, patients and families want to remain together during their last months and days of life. You have been a part of our sustaining heart and service, assisting us in accomplishing the challenging task of keeping families together at home, versus in the hospital or

skilled facilities. I hope you have found great satisfaction Dennis, in knowing what your help created for other families.

Today I called Allan Ledesma, because South Coast Hospice is in great need to upgrade our computers; my explaining our financial situation was close to begging for used upgraded computers, better than our existing ones, and did he have any. Or, did he have anyone upgrading. Allan explained he had two businesses upgrading their systems. You were one of them. Allan was unaware of your history with SCH, so I explained the deep roots you have with our program and how your footprints were some of our cornerstones regarding where and who we are today DennisBeetham.

Having spoken with you and your family though the years, I can’t say I wasn’t excited when Allan said you were one of the two. All the computers we have were already used when we received them, including the parts and pieces we put

together to build our servers. Your used PCCs would be a considerable upgrade to what we are working with today, and would be greatly appreciated.

What put us into this difficult situation came four years ago, when we were mandated by the government to become completely electronic with all our Medical Records. This was a huge undertaking of mixing and matching to put our current system together. Today, we’ve reached our capabilities to mix and match anymore Dennis Beetham.

“Any assistance” you could help us with, would be more than appreciated. We promise to be patient as you transition your older computers out. Currently, we have 50 employees who rely upon utilization of electronic equipment to do their daily jobs. For our smaller not-for-profit, this is an excessive number to come up with. We are accustomed to adding a few new used computers at a time.

If there are any questions you may have, or would like to meet to discuss our situation, I would enjoy meeting with you again. Our heartfelt appreciation remains with you.

Sincerely,

Linda J. Furman GrileSouth Coast HospiceExecutive Director
