Parchment: Parking is available along Commerce Lane near Mosel Ave.
Verburg Park: Parking is available at the north end of the park at Paterson St. just west of Riverview Drive.
Jack Coombs Trailway: This parking lot is located behind 660 Gull St. along the river.
Rose Park Veterans Memorial: Parking is available at the Southwest corner of E. Michigan Ave. and King Highway.
Mayors’ Riverfront Park: Parking is available near Homer Stryker Field toward the back of the park (gates are locked at sunset) and also along Mills St. near the Kalamazoo River.
King Highway: Parking is available ½ mile west of River St. at the DNR Kalamazoo River access site.
Comstock: Trail parking is available at both North and South Wenke Parks, located on King Highway just west of River St.
Comstock: Located on the South side of the Kalamazoo River at River St., Merrill Park is connected by sidewalk to the KRV Trail.
River Oaks County Park: The trail passes through River Oaks County Park and there is ample parking. The vehicle entry fee is $5 per day or $25 for an annual pass. Park gates are open 7 a.m. to sunset.
Nearby Trail ParkingDowntown Kalamazoo: The Radisson and Arcadia parking ramps are located just a few blocks from the KRV Trail.

Trail Rules
1. The trail is open from 7 a.m. to sunset.
2. The trail is designated for pedestrians or non-motorized transportation only. Horses are not permitted.
3. No person shall operate an ATV, ORV,snowmobile, mini-bike, scooter, go-cart, golf cart or similar motorized device.
4. Pets must be on a leash no more than sixfeet long and owners must clean up aftertheir pets.
5. Solicitation is not allowed.
6. Camping is not permitted.
7. Hunting and trapping are not permitted.

A Few Safety Reminders to Make Your ExperienceMore Enjoyable

n Cyclists and skaters must yield topedestrians.

KRV TrailConnectionsThe Kalamazoo River Valley Trail will encompass35 miles of trail throughout Kalamazoo County.Kalamazoo will be a regional hub, connectingBattle Creek to Lake Michigan, D Avenue toPortage, and eventually Lake Michigan to LakeHuron. This existing trail and planned trails inother counties will connect more than 140miles of trails—connecting together the BattleCreek Linear Park, the Kal-Haven Trail, and thePortage Bicentennial Park Trail.
Currently, there are 22 miles complete of thisnon-motorized, paved-asphalt trail. One stretchbegins at 10th Street, heading east from theKal-Haven Caboose and stretching 4.8 miles toWestnedge Ave. You can also enjoy a sectionthat connects 35th St. in Galesburg to DAvenue, traveling through River Oaks CountyPark, Mayors’ Riverfront Park, Verburg Park,along Riverview Dr., and heading north alongMarkin Glen County Park and the KalamazooNature Center. These two segments areconnected by a signed-route throughoutdowntown Kalamazoo, featuring the ArcadiaCreek Festival Place as well as many places toeat and shop. As funds and property becomeavailable the trail will continue to grow, realizinga vision that has been in the works since 1991.
Operated as a Kalamazoo County Park, the KRVTrail is free to use and offers something foreveryone. Whether you’re looking for a relaxingfamily stroll, a journey into nature, an extensiveworkout or a bike route to work—the KRV Trailawaits your visit.

Kal-Haven TrailThe Kal-Haven is a 33.5-mile path of crushedlimestone/slag converted from a railroad bedthat connects South Haven to Kalamazoo. It isusable for all non-motorized bicycles, hiking,and snowmobiling when there is a 4-inch snowbase. Portage Bicentennial Park Trail The Bicentennial Park Trail in Portage windsover 4 miles following Portage Creek at KilgoreRoad, south to the Celery Flats InterpretiveCenter and Portage City Centre. It's a pavedsurface and provides access to the 57-milePortage Bikeway system. Gull Road PathThe Gull Road Path stretches from RiverviewDrive into Richland following Gull Road. ThePath uses a combination of sidewalks and apaved asphalt surface, totaling about eight miles.
North Country Hiking TrailThe North Country Hiking Trail covers 4,600miles and seven states. It begins in NorthDakota and stretches to the state of New York.A portion of the trail travels through Kalamazooand Calhoun counties, sharing the Linear Parkin Battle Creek.
