TRANSCRIPT
These PIR sensor heads are specially designed for highbay and lowbay lumianire designs. Offering IP64 and IP65 miniaturised designs, they allow the luminaire designer freedom of placement for high performance lighting controls withaesthetically pleasing results. They work with HC038V, HCD038 1-10V or DALI base units, or connect directly with ourHex-driveTM range of LED drivers. They are easily set-up and commissioned using the HA01 long-range IR sender unit whichis programmed via our smartphone App. The Bluetooth element of this system exists only between a smart device and the HA01programming device, the sensors are independant and are not capable offorming a wireless mesh network. For this system, please refer to our HC038V /BT and HCD038 /BT product options.

Bluetooth enabled smart devices have a limited range, and devices to be comissioned in highbay installations are often beyondthe range of the smart device. By using the HA01, the commissioning engineer can set-up the sensor on the smartphone screen, and then send the settings using the long range Infra-red sensor. What’s more, the HA01 can read and acquire the settingsof the sensor for inspection or repeating to a new or replacement sensor on the same installation.

The HA01 is a comissioning tool which may be programmed using an Android or iOS smart device with the standard Hytronik APP. Settings are stored within the HA01 and then each sensor is programmed with a single button press:
- One Key Comissioning!

Detection Pattern
Using HA01 with HIR09x and HIR14x
Furthermore, the settings stored within a sensor may be ‘read-back’ to the APP for verification of correct setting or duplicating toa second smart device if the original is no longer available for programming further sensors that may be required on the installation. Simply point the HA01 device towards the sensior to be read and follow the on-screen in instructions on the APPto read back the settings.
Practically unlimited setting configurations can be created and named on the smart device. A single setting configuration may be uploaded to the HA01 for use at any time.
The HA01 contains a rechargeable lithium ion battery pack which is guaranteed for 1000 charges. The battery provides power for the communication circuitry, but also serves a useful USB charging port for the smart device.
For full instructions, please refer to the HA01 user manual and APP user guides.

zero-crossing point
Alternating current
Designed into the software, the relay switches the
load right at the zero-crossing point, to ensure that
the in-rush current is minimised thus enabling the
maximum lifetime of the relay.
Zero-cross Relay Operation (HC038V)2
Lux Off Function4
The light turns of automatically when the surrounding natural light lux level exceeds the daylight threshold for more than 5min, even if
there is motion detected. If the stand-by period is set to infinity, the fixture will not switch off and will instead remain at the set stand-by
dimming level. Any motion detection is ignored until the natural light level decreases below the daylight threshold.
Hardware Features (Common to HC038V, HCD038 and Hex-driveTM
Daylight Harvest Function1
With built-in daylight sensor, the sensor can achieve daylight harvest function for energy saving purpose. Simply activate the daylight
harvest function in the App, and it will automatically adjust the light output according to the change of natural light.
Daytime

The light turns on at full or dims to maintain the lux level. The light output regulates according to the level of natural
light available.

Manual Override (‘Push’ Terminal)3
* Short Push (<1s): permanent on/off function; can also be configured to recall scene selection.
* Long Push (>1s): Brightness level adjustment.
Notes:
1) Both the adjustment on App and push switch can overwrite each other, the last adjustment remains in memory.
2) The switch functions are configured in the App.
3) The push terminal may be left unconnected if no manual control is required.
The ‘push’ terminal reserves the access of manual override function for the end-user to switch on/off, or adjust the light level by push-switch.
Furthermore, by using the binding option in the App, entire groups of fixtures may be wirelessly controlled by a single switch. Please refer to the
App user guide for further information.
