• Contribute to the growing success of Light City • Gain experience in marketing and the arts • Get a first-hand, behind-the-scenes look at festival production • Offer invaluable assistance to both festival staff and festival attendees • Must be at least 18 years old • Support the arts and the city of Baltimore!

What We Do:

Duties Include:

• Represent BOPA and Light City; spread the message of who we are and what we do

• Ensure for a first-class guest experience • Greet festival-goers with a welcoming, positive attitude • Share details and background facts about the light art installations • Answer general questions about the festival; offer directional guidance • Be proactive and anticipate needs/questions from festival-goers • React quickly and solve problems • Communicate effectively with BOPA staff, project coordinators, production assistants, festival

participants, festival attendees, and festival volunteers • Distribute official festival programs • Other duties deemed necessary by Festival Management

Required Schedule as Follows:

• Training (date TBD) • Monday, April 9 from 6:30pm-8:30pm or site clear • Tuesday, April 10 from 6:30pm-8:30pm or site clear • Wednesday, April 11 from 6:30pm-8:30pm or site clear • Thursday, April 12 from 6:30pm-8:30pm or site clear • Friday, April 13 from 6:30pm-8:30pm or site clear • Saturday, April 14 from 6:30pm-12:00am (note, longer shift) or site clear • Sunday, April 15 from 6:30pm-8:30pm or site clear • Monday, April 16 from 6:30pm-8:30pm or site clear • Tuesday, April 17 from 6:30pm-8:30pm or site clear • Wednesday, April 18 from 6:30pm-8:30pm or site clear • Thursday, April 19 from 6:30pm-8:30pm or site clear • Friday, April 20 from 6:30pm-8:30pm or site clear

Please note hours are approximate and subject to change at the discretion of Festival Management. JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be at least 18 years old • Must provide own transportation each night/responsible for parking • Ability to stand for long periods of time; ability to work outdoors in all types of weather • Represent BOPA and Light City; spread the message of who we are and what we do • Ensure for a first-class guest experience • Greet community with a welcoming, positive attitude • Share details and background facts about Charlie • Answer general questions about the festival and BOPA • Share positive and high quality images on Light City social media (access to social media) • React quickly and solve problems • Communicate effectively with BOPA staff, project coordinators, production assistants, festival

participants, festival attendees, and festival volunteers • Distribute official festival programs • Other duties deemed necessary by Festival Management

BENEFITS TO YOU Employer shall pay Contract Employee and Contract Employee shall accept from Employer, in full payment for Contract Employee’s services hereunder, compensation at the rate of $15.00 per hour,

subject to all normal payroll taxes and deductions. Based on the short-term nature of Contract Employee’s employment, Contract Employee will not be entitled to the payment of other benefits received by regular employees of Employer.

With a passion for the Arts and/or Events Management, you will gain proven knowledge of successfully delivering and managing festivals; great experience for your résumé. Light City is the first large-scale free lights festival in the United States.
