LifeCheckpreventive maintenanceOur “LifeCheck” product line is a preventive maintenance set of tools, which equips any type of trains, fitted or not with ETCS.
It automates the electromagnetic track assets maintenance; it enables to generate alarms and produce extremely detailed signal quality information and reports when it passes over a balise (eg. Eurobalises) or any types of track circuits (eg. TVM430) or axle counters.
BaliseLifeCheck The BaliseLifeCheck is a moving laboratory, automating the balise maintenance for Infrastructure Managers. The BaliseLifeCheck is able to produce extremely detailed signal quality information when it passes over a balise.In the past, such signal quality information was only available when sending a defect balise to an ERTMS laboratory, in a reactive mode.
BaliseLifeCheck successfully passed RINA tests
• Compatibility with all Eurobalises’ manufacturers,• Compatibility with legacy KER balises (KVB, Ebicab, RSDD),• Geolocalization of the balises and creation of a cartography,• Key metrics computed per Eurobalise:
- Analog ASK/FSK signal characterization (carrier frequency, frequency deviation, modulation index, …)
- Telegram Bitrate and datarate jitter (MTIE)- Pulse envelop (ASK) and Amplitude Jitter (FSK) measurements- Deviation from nominal values
• Big Metallic Masses (BMM) detection:• Detection of possible Big Metal Masses on the track that will
affect BTM performances• Computation of a signature on key metrics• Auto-marking on all Eurobalises matching signature
The TVMLifeCheck enables full diagnose of TVM430 Systems. As the BaliseLifeCheck, it is a lab on wheels that can be embedded in test vehicles, as to automate main-tenance, and enabling predictive maintenance on the long run of installed TVM430 trackside systems.

• Measure of short-circuit currents as well as diaphony of UM71 Track Circuits- Nominal frequency- Measure of transversal and longitudinal diaphony of UM71 Track Circuits- Alarm when out-of-range longitidunal diaphony- Alarm when out-of-range transversal diaphony
• Detection and measure of compensation condensators from the track circuits- The different transversal impedances across the rails can be detected by the
system: joints, SVAC, short-circuits, frequency blocking dipoles “F2” (2300 and 2600 Hz), condensators, low-impedance SVPMM
- Alarm when transversal impedancy is not detected- Alarm when transversal impedancy is out-of-bounds- Alarm when joint block is out-of-bounds
• Measurement and verification of EPI (Pure frequency inductive loop)- Quality, force of EPI, absence of EPI
• Measurement speed : up to 160kmh
