Family Protection that fits your

*Joe is a 40-year-old married father with two young sons. He owns a small business in their neighborhood. He and his wife decide to purchase life insurance to protect their earning potential and the

security of their small business.

Joe plans to live quite a long time and likes that Life-Style® Whole Life can provide coverage for life and will not become more expensive as he ages. He purchases a $100,000 policy and adds a $100,000 Accidental Death Benefit Rider.

Six years after purchasing his policy, Joe is killed accidentally, leaving his wife, Nancy, with a business to run, a mortgage and two teenage children about to start college.

Since Joe’s death was accidental, his Accidental Death Benefit Rider is payable* and Nancy is paid the sum of $200,000. She uses the benefit to hire a manager to temporarily run the business, allowing her to focus on her family. She refinances the home, with a down payment that results in a monthly payment she can manage. She puts the balance of the benefit into a fund to help pay for their sons’ school tuition.

The family will never replace Joe, but now Nancy is able to keep her home and help ensure her children will get the education Joe wanted them to have. Thanks to his planning, she can maintain the family’s Lifestyle.

*Jane is a 50-year-old teacher married to Robert, a small business owner. The couple have always received their benefits through Jane’s employer, but she plans to retire at age 60 and starts shopping early

for a life insurance alternative.

Jane looks at a Life-Style® Whole Life 20 Pay policy and sees that the premium payments stop after 20 years, while the coverage stays in place. She likes that her retirement income won’t go toward insurance for the rest of her life and is impressed by how rapidly the policy’s cash value grows.

She buys $150,000 of coverage and retires as planned at age 60. Jane’s 20-year premium period ends at age 70, and she and Robert reassess their financial situation. They have no debts or liabilities, and their only daughter is grown and financially independent with children of her own.

However the grandchildren live across the country. Jane and Robert decide they’d rather spend time with their daughter and grandchildren than leave them all the proceeds of Jane’s life insurance policy. They access some of the cash value through a policy loan, deposit money into a travel account and use it when they want to go visit, allowing their retirement income to be used for day-to-day expenses. By getting closer to their family, Jane and Robert changed their Lifestyle for the better in their golden years.

*These events are hypothetical situations. Actual benefits will be based on the policy conditions and premium selected, as well as the health of the proposed insured.
