1ST SCENE. THE FIRST LIFE. PAGE 1

The earth has its oxygen and oceans. Then, there was a shock. Life arrived. Tiny cells about 1000 to 100,000,000,000 atoms thick evolved. Floating around and bumping into eachother and giving birth. No eyes, no limbs. Only a living thing. These cells were called archaea and bacteria. Below is an archaea cell. It is just floating around in the sea.

After 1000s of years, things changed. The earth started to get land. The cells became fish. Known as lung fish, these were the first living creatures with lungs on the planet. The Big Bang has long since cooled and was only about -100 Celsius. The place was chaos with fish. Swimming here and there. But they evolved more and more. They now had eyes. And then they had legs. Lung fish still lurked around but suddenly, there came a new species. Ammonites. On the next page, you can see an ammonite image. They were only about the size of a large spider but they had tentacles like a squid.

2nd part unlockedThe next stage became very interesting. Legged creatures looking like centipedes and millipedes roamed the land and sea. Other creatures also roamed the seas. Between the 1st part and now lots of things happened but that is for another time

2ND SCENE. LIVING WITH TRILOBITES

Skitter, skitter, skitter. That’s the sound of something skittering around. a Trilobite (try LO bite) is like a big centipede. These realetavly docile creatures would not be a good wedding present. If pets were wedding presents, these large wife-scaring-o-bites would make your wife either, have a concussion, or a heart attack. They can bite, but they are quite docile. Below, you can see why

A QUICK DIVERSION.

Did you know that trilobites are being reborn? Well they are. Kind of. Slaters, and other multi-legged insects are descendants of trilobites. Scientists are trying to extract DNA from slaters to try and revive lots of creatures. Naming a few: Dodo bird, gastric brooding frog, trilobite, and other prehistoric creepy-crawlies.

EEK, EEK, AHH.Shiver. Spiders, snakes, and other nasties are perfectly normal compared to these deformed centipedes. There were: trilobites, Anomalocaris, was an early marine predator, among the various Arthropods of the time, Pikaia was an early chordate from the Middle Cambrian age. Opabinia was a creature with an unusual body plan; it was probably related to arthropods. Protichnites were the track ways of arthropods that walked Cambrian beaches, And stromatalites.
