First Newspaper!

Dear Whoever is Reading,

This is our first newspaper and we’re thinking of doing more if it becomes a success, we are looking for maybe 2 or 3 other 5th graders in other classes

who would want to join the newspaper club; So we can try to cover what’s happening all over the 5th grade. Tell your friends about it too. And if you have any suggestions or ideas we have

given out our emails on page 2.

And feel free to read the rest of the newspaper.

We are the three authors of this magazine. We’re from the American International School Of Budapest, and all of us are in 05K.Isabella is half Swedish, half Filipino and a tiny bit American. Emelie is half Dutch and half Swedish. And last but not least Nikola is from the U.K. and Hungary. This magazine isn’t all about us so let’s talk about the magazine.

If you have any suggestions/questions/thoughts feel free to ask. We are available most often. And if you ever feel as if you are

(I know that’s weird that i hang out with boys but actually one of my BFFs is a Boy )What are your hobbies? : Tennis, School

What do you want to be when you grow up and why? : Before I tell you what I want to be I'll tell you what I think would happen before. I'd go to College and get a scholar ship for a sport or good grades, then I want to be a mom, because I love my baby sister and I always can't wait till I'm older and get a child. I love small children, and every time I have an opportunity to make them happy, I do. Otherwise I want to be famous from sports, singing, actress or dancer or designer/ a furniture designer or clothes designer, which ever, I don't care. But if any of that happens I’ll be really, really, super happy.

If you were the president or the richest person on earth what would you do to planet earth? : If I were president or richest person, I would help try to make orphanages and other charities more of a home for the people living there. I would do my best to make the world a better place, I would try to help everyone seeking for help.

If a boy you hate asks you out how would you react ? : I would let him down easily.

And what would happen if someone you love asks you? :I would jump up and down in my head and thank the love goddess for her great love matching skills.

What do you look for in a boy ? : What I look for in a boy is: a guy who really likes me back (I have to like him), kind, a shoulder I could lean on

when in a bad mood, his eyes, should be active, cute (not always), wouldn’t care if we were shown together in front of the school, not bald!!!, sensitive (not too sensitive), smells good.

Name: Emelie Gender: Female When were you born? : December 31, 1999 Where were you born? : Holland Where do your parents come from? : Mom - Sweden, Dad - Holland How many languages do you speak and which? : 4, Dutch, German, English, Swedish and starting French What do you do for fun? : Play with boys, and my girlfriends (friends who are girls!!) What are your hobbies? : Hanging out with friends, vacation, relaxing, sports (Gymnastic, Soccer)

What do you want to be when you grow up and why? I want to go to college first. after that i want to work in this party organizing business. when i get children i want to work at home and have a easy part time job as a fashion designer.

If you were the president or the richest person on earth what would you do to planet earth?If i were the president or rich, i would help the world in many different helpful ways! i would make sure that everyone recycles and takes care of our earth. we only have one! i would also give out a lot of money for countries that need help, such as no water for them to survive. i would build a lot of charities and make places for people with sicknesses and have them a fun life!

CHRISTMAS ISLANDA VERY UNKNOWN ISLAND!

Christmas Island is a very unknown island! It lays far away and is kind of hidden in the sea. Christmas Island is a very small island with not a lot of people living on them, although now, people sometimes go to Christmas Island for vacation. And as what I have heard, Christmas Island was discovered by two Dutch explorers. They discovered Christmas Island on Christmas, and that’s why it is called Christmas Island, cool right!

The Christmas Island is located at a distance of 2600 kilometers (1600 miles) northwest of Perth in Western Australia, but is about 500 kilometers south of Jakarta, Indonesia. The placement of the earth is truly amazing, which makes it an excellent tourist destination of world. A trip to Christmas Island would be very charming.

The island is home to around 1600 people living in many areas of residential land. The places that people live are known as “settlement areas”. These “settlement areas” are located on the northern tip of the island. The places on the island best known are:

• Kampong• Solution• Silver City• Poon Saan• Drumsite

The people that live on this island do not necessarily speak English. Some travelers enter the island, and the people that live there. Since Christmas Island is a ISLAND, it is covered by water, and I think it is beautiful! It has a wonderful colour, and many nice animals living in them. Speaking of animals, did you know that there are A LOT of crabs on Christmas Island? If you would type in Christmas Island on google, you would find a lot of crab pictures!

Christmas Island Hotels:There are very good hotels in Christmas Island where visitors

can see during your stay in these islands. This place visitors come here to spend their holidays in complete peace and tranquility. The location of Kiritimati is easily accessible by visitors.

All hotels in Christmas Island is easily reached by visitors using the airport. The place has been agreed for transport services, visitors can move easily.

The hotels in Christmas Island are suitable for businesses and travelers as well. The rooms in most hotels are equipped with many facilities and amenities. Stay at any of the hotels will always remain a wonderful experience for all travelers. The staff of most hotels offer a warm welcome to all visitors. Guests will find the staff very friendly and cooperative. Many of the hotels have restaurants on Christmas Island, where visitors will have very good food. They are also good served drinks in the bars of the hotels. Some hotels offer facilities for small-scale businesses. So hotels are preferred by travelers and businesses.Tourist Attractions in Christmas Island:

There are plenty of attractions in Christmas Island, where tourists have to pay a visit. Christmas Island is the perfect destination where tourists can come and spend a few vacation days in complete peace and serenity. The site has good transport facilities and visitors have convenient transport facilities to enable them to move freely from one place to another.

All the attractions of the Christmas Islands, are worth visiting. There is a very good Christmas Island National Park. The National Park covers about 60 percent of the total land area. There are wide varieties of flora and fauna, to be visited by visitors. The red crab is one of the rarest species of the world, we are going to migrate in this region during November. Apart from this, the animal lovers and bird lovers will have a great time to explore this National Park.

There are many great beaches on Christmas Island. These beaches are also popular tourist attractions of the Christmas Islands. There are plenty of sites for diving and surfing. The popular beach, are the Lily beach, Beach Dolly Ethel Beach and Greta.Visitors can go to the beach and relax in the sun or enjoy a swim in the splash of waves.

So as you can see, Christmas Island seems like a wonderful place, even if it is kind of hidden in the seas, and not many people know about it, you should tell your parents about it, maybe you can even visit one day. I know I would just love to go there!
