The Deeper Connections In the past our congregation has prided itself on being connected But, in this current

stage of sheltering, we find that our connections are no longer taken for granted. We love each other and have

found new ways to connect closer with family, to strive to find creative ways to connect with our congregation

and community, and particularly a deeper connection with God that keeps us strong and committed. Make sure

you check out our facebook page, First United Methodist Church of Hot Springs, our website

http://www.fumchotsprings.org, and call the church office 501-623-6668 to signup for email blasts and text

messages to learn how to deepen your connections!

A Time For Healing In this unprecedented time we find ourselves tired, anxious, and stressed, with it affecting

our physical body, spirit and soul. Join Teresa as we take the time to heal. Her blog is designed as a healing

journey following some of the ancient practices that are often forgotten. Each week a scripture is read with

follow up practices throughout the week (15-30 minutes each). Why not use our down time as a gift to start the

healing process. https://www.fumchs.com/adults/a-time-for-healing

Call to Worship (I Corinthians 15:1, 3-4, 50, 53-57)

Now I would remind you, brothers and sisters, of the Good News... For I handed on to you as of

first importance what I in turn had received:

Christ died for our sins in accordance with the scriptures, and he was buried, and he was raised

on the third day in accordance with the scriptures.

What I am saying, brothers and sisters, is this: flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of

God... This perishable body must put on imperishability, and this mortal body must put on

immortality.

When this perishable body puts on imperishability, and this mortal body puts on immortality,

then the saying that is written will be fulfilled:

‘Death has been swallowed up in victory.’

‘Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?’

The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.

But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen!

Prayers

The Lord’s Prayer

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be

done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our

trespasses; as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation,

but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the Kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen.

Morning Prayer

God of endless life, in the light of this new

day we see the dawning of your new

creation. Give us wonder and delight to

enjoy this day that you have made;

through Jesus Christ, our living Lord. Amen.

Evening Prayer

Stay with us, Lord, for it is evening and

the day is almost over. Help us to know

that you are with us through the promise

of your Word, in the sharing of a meal

and by the power of our Spirit that burns

within our hearts. Bless and keep us, this

night and always. Amen.
