Butterfly Life Cycle
Humans go through the following stages…
Stage 1: Infancy (Birth-1st Year)o The most rapid and dramatic growth of the
human occurs during the 1st year.o The infant grows about an inch per month
during the 1st six months.o Body weight typically doubles at five
months.o By age one, most infants achieve walking,
talking, and eating solid foods.o The infant is completely dependent upon
its parents or caretakers for survival.
Stage 2: Early Childhood
• Toddler (1st two years of childhood)• Slower rate of growth
• Developmental tasks increase (i.e. running)
Stage 3: Preschool
• Muscle coordination continues to improve
Stage 4: Elementary
• Physical growth and muscle growth improves
Stage 5: Adolescence
• Puberty occurs: a period of rapid physical growth
• 12-18 years old• Begin to separate from parents and
become more independent
Stage 6: Adulthood
• Adults cease to grow physically after puberty
• Humans age in appearance• 18-old age
