THE IDEAL SETTINGWELCOME Congratulations! We knew you were brilliant, and the fact that you’re considering Neumont University

proves it. We understand the choice you’re making is a big one, and we want to make your transition to

college life as smooth as possible. So we put together this booklet to give you a look at life at Neumont

and in Salt Lake City.

Neumont is a small community, which means you’ll never feel like you’re just a number. No wandering a

giant campus without seeing familiar faces. You’ll know faculty and sta on a first-name basis. But, being

small is only one part of it. Our Student Aairs sta is invested in the success of every student. Every day,

we work closely with students, families, sta, and faculty to ensure you have the tools you need to

succeed in our rigorous, fast-paced program. These tools include:

• A week-long Freshman Orientation to help you get comfortable on campus

• An assigned advocate to help you adjust to college life and plan your future

• Intro courses with full-time faculty so you understand your major before you choose it

• Resident Advisors who plan residence life events and help you resolve any roommate issues

• Academic Coaches and tutors to assist you through classes

• Career Services dedicated to helping you land a killer job and salary after graduation

You’ll leave Neumont with the hands-on experience required to be a tech mogul. But more than that,

you’ll graduate ready to take on the real world with real skills. Classes like personal finance, healthy

living, and communications will help you unlock the next set of achievements in your life.

We’re here to help you launch your future.

SLC: SILICON SLOPESSalt Lake City is known as Silicon Slopes with companies like Electronic Arts, Adobe, and eBay calling the area home. Forbes and Inc. both named SLC a top city for tech companies citing a well-educated workforce, spectacular natural amenities, and a continual increase in STEM careers.

Neumont University’s location in downtown Salt Lake City oers our students a chance to enjoy a little bit of

everything. All around us, a vibrant local scene of tech, geek, art, food, and music converge daily. And, we’re

minutes away from world-class hiking, camping, skiing, and snowboarding. (Going outside is entirely optional.)

84%OF NEUMONT

STUDENTS COME FROM OUTSIDE

OF UTAH.

INCREDIBLE BACKYARDSalt Lake City is the front door to the greatest snow on earth. And there’s more than skiing and snowboarding to be had in Utah. We also have awesome hiking, camping, and biking minutes from our downtown campus. Natch.

STUDENTS IN SLCYour high-tech campus is close to everything. Sure, you’ll get enterprise-grade wireless, a gaming bunker, and project rooms on campus. You’ll also be surrounded by cafés, restaurants, and shopping to make your higher education as convenient as it is amazing.

SOCIAL LIFESTUDENT HOUSINGNeumont's student housing is not your usual college dorm room. Our furnished apartments come with full kitchens, free

access to washing machines and dryers, and high-speed Internet. You'll most likely share your space with roommates

who can sleep through the clickety-clack of a computer in the wee hours of the morning. Typically, freshman students

live in two-bedroom, two-bath apartments within 1.5 miles of campus.

While you’re here, we want you to get the most out of your college

experience. We realize that all code and no play makes for burned out

developers. Our students enjoy an experience at Neumont like nowhere

else. Here’s a glimpse of some current clubs and activities.

• Game Gurus

• Tennis Club

• Unified Student Government

• Fitness Club

• League of Legends Club

• Soccer Club

• Beyond the Screen

• Magic the Gathering Club

• Neumont Business Incubator

• Equality Club

Once you have your housing

assignment, you’ll want to contact

your roommate(s) and decide

who’s bringing what. Students

are responsible for items like:
