GENERAL NOTES:

1. PRIOR TO SUBMITTING BIDS, THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR FOR THISWORK SHALL VISIT THE JOB SITE TO FAMILIARIZE THEMSELVESWITH EXISTING CONDITIONS. THEY SHALL NOTIFY THE OWNER, INWRITING, IMMEDIATELY IF ANY DISCREPANCIES ORINCONSISTENCIES EXIST. FAILURE TO VERIFY THE EXISTINGCONDITIONS SHALL NOT RELIEVE THE CONTRACTOR OF ANYEXPENSES OR RESPONSIBILITIES RESULTING FROM FAILURE TOINSPECT THE JOB SITE.

2. AT LOCATIONS WHERE FLOORS, WALLS, PARTITIONS, CABINETWORK, ETC. ARE TO BE REMOVED OR RELOCATED, SURFACESTHAT ARE TO REMAIN SHALL BE REPAIRED AND PATCHED TOMATCH EXISTING ADJACENT SURFACES.

3. ALL PENETRATIONS THROUGH FIRE BARRIERS AND/OR FIRE RATEDFLOORS, CEILINGS, AND WALLS, ETC. SHALL BE CAULKED, SEALEDAND/OR JOINT PACKED WITH APPROVED FIRE PROOFING MATERIALTO MAINTAIN INTEGRITY OF BOTH FIRE AND/OR FIRE RATEDBARRIERS.

4. NO DISRUPTIONS TO UTILITY SERVICES DURING THE DAY WITHOUTOWNERS WRITTEN CONSENT. ANY DISRUPTION OF EXISTING UTILITYLINES WITHIN FACILITY SHALL BE COORDINATED WITH THE OWNERGIVING 72 HOURS NOTICE. UTILITIES SHALL BE RESTOREDIMMEDIATELY.

6. GENERAL CONTRACTOR AND SUB CONTRACTORS SHALLCOMPLETE ALL WORK IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE REQUIREMENTSOF APPLICABLE LAWS, CODES, REGULATIONS, AND BESTSTANDARDS OF SAFETY.

7. GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL BE PERMITTED TO STAGE, ANDSTORE ALL MATERIALS LOCATED ON THE JOB SITE. GC TOCOORDINATE WITH BUILDING MANAGER AS TO ACTUAL LOCATIONOF DUMPSTER AND STORAGE CONTAINER. PROVIDE ADEQUATEPROTECTION OF EXISTING SLAB/GRASS FROM DAMAGE ANDREPAIR ANY DAMAGE THAT MAY OCCUR DURING THE COURSE OFCONSTRUCTION AS REQUIRED.

8. EXISTING CONDITIONS HAVE BEEN DRAWN FROM LIMITED FIELDMEASUREMENTS AND OBSERVATIONS. CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFYALL EXISTING DIMENSIONS AND CONDITIONS PRIOR TO EXECUTIONOF CONSTRUCTION. NOTIFY OWNER OF ANY DISCREPANCIESBETWEEN CONTRACT DOCUMENTS AND EXISTING CONDITIONS.

13. SMOKING WITHIN THE BUILDING IS PROHIBITED AND IS LIMITED TODESIGNATED AREAS OUTSIDE OF THE BUILDING.

14. IN USING ANY AND ALL EXISTING SYSTEMS, FIELD VERIFY THAT THESYSTEMS WILL SERVICE AND ACCOMMODATE NEW APPLICATIONS.

15. CONTRACTOR SHALL PERFORM WORK DURING BUILDINGOPERATIONAL HOURS EXCEPT WHEN AFTER HOURS WORK ISREQUIRED BY SEQUENCING NOTES SHOWN ELSEWHERE. WORKCAN BE PERFORMED AFTER HOURS WITH PRIOR ARRANGEMENTWITH OWNER. SCOPE OF WORK

1. PROJECT SCOPE IS THE INTERIOR REMODELING OF AN EXISTING KITCHEN, INCLUDING: KITCHENEQUIPMENT, COUNTERTOPS, SINKS, NEW FLOORING, NEW CEILING TILES, EXHAUST HOOD SYSTEM,MECHANICAL, ELECTRICAL AND PLUMBING MODIFICATIONS. THIS PROJECT WILL BE CONSTRUCTED INTHREE SEQUENCES.

2. SEQUENCE ONE: CONSTRUCT A TEMPORARY WARMING KITCHEN AND OUTDOOR FREEZER AREA INORDER TO MAINTAIN AN OPERATIONAL WARMING KITCHEN AND SERVING AREA DURINGCONSTRUCTION. ERECT TEMPORARY FENCING FOR DELIVERY AREA & CONTRACTOR'S STAGING AREA.

3. SEQUENCE TWO: REMODEL EXISTING KITCHEN.

4. SEQUENCE THREE: DISMANTLE TEMPORARY WARMING KITCHEN.

5. DESIGN CRITERIA FOR THE PROJECT IS THE 2014 FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, EXISTING BUILDING CODE.THIS PROJECT IS CLASSIFIED AS A LEVEL II ALTERATION.

6. OCCUPANCY IS A-2 (ASSEMBLY). THERE IS NO CHANGE IN OCCUPANCY.

7. THE TYPE OF CONSTRUCTION IS TYPE IIIB.
