Library is a ‘Heart’ of institute. Teaching and learning system are supported by library through reading material.

Library is equipped with reference books, textbooks, periodicals, e resources and newspapers etc.

Library building is situated at the center of the campus.

There are two issuing counters for the students.

Books are classified through D.D.C. (Dewey Decimal Classification) system.

The Library is guided by an Advisory Committee :-

The committee meets regularly to take stock of all library related issues aiming at its timely up-gradation. The committee involves in the following areas to strengthen its services : To enhance good collection of books

Recommends for Print Journals, Online databases.

Suggests for better utilization of library resources and services

Assists the librarian in formulating general library polices and regulations for the effective functioning of the library

Ensures a clean, cool and calm environment inside the library to motivate the user for spending more hours.

BOOK BANK

3177 books with 132 titles are available in the book bank.

The book bank service provides 3 to 4 books to a student, which they can avail through out the semester. The students have to return those books at the end of the semester .Under this service the students are required to pay the 10% of the actual price of a book.

DUPLICATION OF DOCUMENTS

There is a Xerox center in the library facilitating duplication of printed materials / documents at marginal prices. A printer and scanner are also available.

ICT UTILIZATION IN THE LIBRARY

The library is fully computerized with the ERP software.

Library users can check the library account, renew the books , reserve the books and search for any book through OPAS (online Public Access System) in ERP.

There is a digital library inside the reference section. 10 computers and 6 LAN ports are available to access internet, e- resources and OPAS.

The NPTEL videos are available in the following link:

University has developed in-house e-materials for all the courses and made it available for its students through TABLET PCs.

RESEARCH ASSISTANCEOrganized the “Authors workshop” through live WebEx.

Organized FDPs regarding use of e –resources to create awareness among the users.

The University publishes an half-yearly journal- “ Centurion Journal of Multidisciplinary Research” with ISSN (Both online & Print) to encourage the researchers in publishing their work.

On the request from scholars, the library provides articles by collecting from the publishers .

All working days- Reference Section 24 hours Circulation Section 9.30am to 5.30 pm

Sunday and Holidays- circulation section will be closed whereas the reference section remains open from 9.30 AM to 5.30 PM

The Library is built up on 875.98 Sq. Mts

The areas of Circulation section and Reference Section of library are 447.87 Sq. Mts and 425.11 Sq. Mts

Other activities: -

Collection of Old Question Papers of the university are accessible in the Library.

The teachers’ lecture notes in the form of 133 manuscripts are available in the Libraries

News Paper clipping : Library provides paper clippings from the daily news papers and also displayed news related to the students on the notice board.

Future Plan of LibraryThe activities of the library can be extended to multifolded .

The Library wants to have its own print section by procuring one dummy size offset printing machines along with cutting and binding machines.

Digitization of material prepared by the faculty as per CBCS system and put it oin the library archives

Ph.D thesis will be scanned with anti-plagiarism software and to be uploaded under Shodhaganga .
