Rev. Dr. A. M. Francis Jayapathy SJ

Rector, Loyola College

Rev. Dr. A. M. Francis Jayapathy SJ, is currently the Rector of Loyola College, Chennai and the Director of Loyola Institute of Social Science. He holds a Bachlors Degree in Philosophy from College of the Jesuits, Shembaganur, a Bachelors Degree in Theology from Vidyajyothi-Institute of Religious Studies, Delhi, a Master of Philosophy in Anthropology from the University of Delhi and a Master of Philosophy (QE) with distinction from London School of Economics. His doctorate research is on Ethnography of Mukkuvar - with a focus on conflict. The Subject and title of his M.Phil dissertation was Symbolism of Kanikkars.

Rev. Dr. Francis Jayapathy SJ, has authored numerous papers delving on topics of religion, social responsibility and rural development. Being affiliated with the South Asian Folklorist and PILC Journal he has been an editor of a number of research journals. He is also an academician with a rich teaching experience of 23 years. He has been a lecturer at Vidya Jyothi, Institute of Religious Studies, Delhi, Sathya Nilayam, Institute for the Study of Culture and Religion, Madras, Arul Kadal, Institution of Theology, Madras and at Loyola Institute of Visual Communication to name a few.

He has held various key positions as Vice President of Transactional Analysis Society of India (TA), Director - Culture and Communications, Chennai, Director - FRRC, Palayamkottai, Management Representative - ISO 2000, St.Joseph's Industrial School, Ooty, Management Representative – ISO 9000 - 2000, Madurai Community Collge, Madurai, Project Officer - Tsunami works, Carmel School, Nagercoil and Founded and Directed Jesuit Ministry to Alcohol and Drug Dependents.

Rev. Dr. N. Casimir Raj SJ

Founder and President, Loyola Institute of Business Administration

Rev. Dr. N. Casimir Raj SJ, holds a Doctorate in Business Administration from St.Louis

University, St. Louis, USA.

He was the Founder Director of LIBA and Former Principal of Loyola College, Chennai. He has

also been Director of XIM Bhubaneswar. He has made significant contribution as the Founder of

Loyola Institute of Business Administration (LIBA), developed the institution from

53rd position to 9th at the national level during his leadership. The institution extends its

resources to all aspiring business administrators at various levels. After his valuable contribution

to LIBA, he extended his service to Xavier Labour Relations Institute (XLRI) as Director where

his untiring, creative and skillful leadership elevated the standard of the institution to 6th position

at national level.

As an educationist, he has been teaching marketing to the students for the past three decades in

various institutions: XLRI, Jamshedpur, St.Louis University, Missouri and Wheeling Jesuit

College, Wheeling, USA. Rev.Dr. Casimir Raj S.J. is widely regarded as an authority in

marketing with numerous publications to his credit.

Prof. T.A. Sivasubramaniam

Director, Loyola Institute of Business Administration

Prof. T.A. Sivasubramaniam is a professionally qualified and highly experienced HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST with extensive knowledge and skills in Training and Development. He has worked as a Senior Professor in the area of behavioural sciences at the Anna Institute of Management for fifteen years. He has designed and conducted as a main resource person more than three hundred and fifty management development programmes for the Senior Executives working in Public and Private Sectors. Also renders academic and consulting services to several leading organisations and institutes.

Prof. Sivasubramaniam , teaches Organisational Behaviour at LIBA. He is also a research guide for Doctoral students at LIBA and at IIT, Madras and a Visiting Faculty of various Organizations and Institutions for past several years. He is presently the Director of Loyola Institute of Business Administration (LIBA). In 2005 and 2006, he was the Dean of the institute incharge of PGDBM programme.

He has written two books on management and has published several research articles in reputed management journals.

He has a Master in Business Administration from Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, an MA.in Public Administration from Madras University and a Ph.D., (Management) Central University, Pondichery. He has done an Advanced Programme in Behavioural Sciences, from International Training Institute, Sydney, Australia.

Mr. V. Ponraj

Scientist G & Advisor to Late Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam and Aeronautical Development Agency, Ministry of Defence, Bangalore

He is a Scientist –G, from ADA (Aeronautical Development Agency), DRDO, Ministry of Defence, Bangalore. He was working with Former President, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam as an Advisor on Science and Technology and Public Policy.He was the Director (Technology Interface) at the President Secretariat, when Late. Dr Kalam was the 11th President of India from 2003-2007. He had worked on various missions pioneered by Late.Dr Kalam for more than a decade, such as Developed India Vision 2020, PURA, Energy Independence by 2030, Aerospace Vision 2050, Kalam-NSS Space based Solar Power Initiative, National Smart Waterways GRID and Lead India 2020 missions.

Mr.Ponraj was the architect of Pan African e-Network, which backed the “Hermes Price for Innovation 2010” for Govt. of India. He has also worked with Late. Dr Kalam in evolving the Missions for Developed States for 15 State Assemblies in India and worked with state and central government authorities and some of the Chief Ministers in evolving a development plan for the states. He is an expert in ICT in the domains such as Aeronautics, Simulation, Virtual Reality, Networking, Software Development and also e-Governance, Education and Healthcare and public policy.

He has co-authored many speeches, lectures and books with Late. Dr. Kalam and travelled more than 45 countries as a part of the official delegation along with Dr Kalam and also represented India individually and delivered lectures in Educational institutions, Universities and various youth forums. He is presently doing Ph.D. which was under the guidance of Former Dr APJ Abdul Kalam in Sri Ramachandra University, Chennai. He is an expert member of Shyama Prakash Mukherjee RURBAN Mission of Govt. of India under the Ministry of Rural Development. He has co-authored a book “A Manifesto for Change” – a sequel to India 2020 with Former Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam.

Mr. K.P. Rangaraj

Mr. K.P. Rangaraj, has completed his graduation in Mathematics from Loyola College in 1986 and completed CA & CWA in 1989.

He possess a diversified work experience of about 26 Years in MNC’s of repute spanning

FMCG, Manufacturing, Telecom, Infrastructure & Logistics /Supply Chain sectors.

The areas of his work experience include Mergers & Acquisitions, Start-Ups, JV formations,

Business Strategy, Fund Raising - Equity and Debt (including Structuring Deals), Business

Process & Financial Reengineering, Planning & Budgeting, Controllership Viz., Finance &

Accounting, Taxation, ERP implementations’ and leading multicultural functional teams and

specialisations across geographies.

He is presently associated with TVS Srichakra Tyres in the capacity of President Finance &

Chief Financial Officer.   

Mr. V. Pattabhi Ram

Co-Founder of and Partner at, Yoganandh & Ram, Chartered Accountants

Mr.V Pattabhi Ram, FCA, AICWA, ACS, is the Co-Founder of and Partner at, Yoganandh & Ram, Chartered Accountants; an Indian based public accounting firm that is into audit, tax and consultancy.He is also the Faculty and Co-founder of Prime Academy: the pioneering educational institution that trains CA students, and is into corporate training globally, research and publications. An alumnus of St. Joseph’s College, he is an active debater and quizzer, he was voted as one amongst the three best graduating students. He did his CA Internship at Deloitte, Haskins and Sells, he was a rank-holder throughout his college and in his Chartered Accountancy.

A member of the three professional accounting bodies of India; his areas of specialization include corporate finance and capital markets. He is also into teaching and writing besides being a regular speaker at the professional seminar circuit, both in India and internationally. As a freelance journalist he writes columns for newspapers and magazines on topics of contemporary interest.

His book, “First Lessons in Strategic Financial Management” is a popular textbook for CA Final year students. His other book, “First Lessons in Strategic Management” is popular among CA Inter students. He has authored three self-help books. The first titled Roadmap is a self-help book and is for CA students; the second is titled, How to get the best out of College and is for collegians; while the third is a career book titled, From CA to CEO. His first novel, which is set in the backdrop of the audit profession is slated for release in October-November.

A Chartered accountant by qualification, a writer by passion and a teacher by accidental choice is how his blog describes him.

Mr. Vijay Gopalan

Chartered Accountant

Mr.Vijay Gopalan was formerly the CFO of AirAsia India, he was the Finance Controller –

India Operations of Compass Group – India, and has also been a Freelance Consultant – an

External consultant for a leading independent power producer, to assist in the preparation of the

accounting and finance related supporting documents to defend a case in arbitration with its

customer in the London courts. He has advised clients on process consulting and controls

analysis including SEC registered companies for SOX as well as GAAP compliance. He has also

been a Manager at Ernst & Young for eight years.

He, is an independent corporate trainer and has taken technical as well as non-technical (soft

skills) sessions for various corporates including HLL and Orchid Pharma.

Mr. Vijay has been a visiting faculty in Loyola Institute of Business Administration (LIBA) and

took sessions on US GAAP and Financial Management. He has also been a Faculty at the

Institute of Chartered Accountants of India handling soft skills sessions for qualified chartered

accountants as well as aspiring CA students. He has assisted faculty in drafting a comprehensive

academic course content and curriculum for an elective subject in IIM - Ahmadabad. He was a

part of the team that drafted the course content for the subject “Contemporary Film Industry – A

Business Perspective” at the IIM – A. Mr. Vijay is a CA Rank Holder, ICAI – November 2000,

with an All India 26th rank and was a Gold Medalist at the South Asian Universities Music

Festival in May 2000. He was the Cultural Secretary of his school - Vidya Mandir.

Dr. A.V. Vedpuriswar

Director, Learning Interventions Team, Cognizant Academy

Dr A.V. Vedpuriswar (Ved) takes care of leadership development for middle and senior level

managers in Cognizant. He has been with Cognizant for about 5 years now. Prior to this, he was

with UBS taking care of leadership development for their captive operations in Hyderabad.

He has about 28 years of rich experience, 10 in Academics and 18 in industry. He is passionate

about simplifying complex themes using a cross functional approach.

Dr. Vedpuriswar holds a B Tech from IIT Kharagpur, PGDM from IIM Calcutta and PhD from

Osmania University. His PhD dissertation was on Enterprise Risk management.

He conducts classes on Financial risk management for students in reputed Business Schools all

over the country.

He has compiled several cases and articles which have appeared in various publications. He has

also authored 6 books. The books he has published include:

Mr. K. Ram Kumar

Vice President – Corporate Finance, Ashok Leyland Ltd

Mr. K. Ram Kumar is a Post Graduate in Commerce with an Associate Membership

of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India and also the Institute of Company

Secretaries of India. In addition, he has also done an Advanced Management

Programme for Senior Management at Indian Institute of Management,

Ahmedabad.

His professional experience, over the last 27 years, covers all the facets of financial

management in the industry.

Currently, Mr. Ram Kumar is employed with Ashok Leyland Ltd. as

Vice President – Corporate Finance. In Ashok Leyland he has handled several

portfolios covering various facets of finance functions including Fund raising,

investments, M & A activities, Strategic Finance Management, Investor relations

etc. besides other routine functions. He currently handles Corporate Finance and

oversees the finance function of several associate companies in India and abroad.

He is also on the Board of several associate companies of the Group.

His other interests include Carnatic Music and reading management books. He has

been contributing articles on issues relating to corporate finance in economic dailies

and is a speaker in various Seminars.

Mr. R. Vittal Raj

Founding Partner - Kumar & Raj & Director – Pristine Consulting Pvt. Ltd.

Mr.Vittal Raj is a fellow member of the Institute, Founding Partner of Kumar & Raj, Chartered Accountants, and heads the business risk assurance practice. With over 25 years of experience, he has directed various assurance, audit and consulting projects in a wide range of industry verticals in the areas of IT Governance, Cyber Security, Privacy, IT Assurance, Enterprise Risk Management and Risk Based Internal audits.

By qualification, Mr.Vittal is a FCA, CISA, CIA, CISSP, CGEIT, CISM, CRISC, CFE and Accredited COBIT 5 Expert. He has consulted as strategic advisor to board and senior management of various entities on IT strategy, GRC, IT security, systems and processes and risk management strategies. He is presently a member on the global Audit Committee of ISACA and the ISACA India growth task force. Mr.Vittal has earlier served for two terms as the International Vice President and Director on Global Board of ISACA, IL, USA, the leading non-profit professional association in IT Governance. Mr. Vittal was awarded with the President’s award and Certificate of appreciation for outstanding contributions during his term as director on the ISACA global board.

He has also served in various volunteer positions as member on the Global Education and Dissemination Committee of ISACA, member on the Global Advanced Technology Committee of The Institute of Internal Auditors and as member task force of several conference technical committees of ISACA Asia CACS and Member of the General Committee of the Madras Chamber of Commerce and Industry to name a few. He has been associated as visiting faculty member and subject matter expert with various institutions of repute. He has been advisor on syllabus development, course material development/review for the courses in IT Audit and Information Security. Mr. Vittal is a regular speaker, having presented researched papers at several international conferences across several countries, and is an expert corporate trainer on IT Governance and COBIT, IT Risk Management, Cyber Security & Information Security, IT auditing, Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), Risk based Internal Audits, cybercrime forensics and fraud risk management, having trained delegates from various countries that included board members, CXOs, across management levels.
