Personal Profile

Upon leaving school I was employed in administration, office supervision and surveying roles and during this initial phase of employment I decided to pursue training and employment in the electrical and electronics sectors.Once qualified. I undertook various full-time and contract positions across heavy industrial, public sector, manufacturing and telecommunications industries.During the recent downturn in economic activity throughout the North East region, I have decided to focus on obtaining employment within the renewable energy sector which has emerged within the region and have upgraded my skills and qualifications through grant aided and self funded sources.

October 2015 GHL Global Heavy Logistics AG , Wind devision, Nordex

Project in Scotland on the kingburn wind farm constructing and building 9 K08 Nordex wind tur-bines I have over a 3000 hours working experience on the turbines covering all aspects of build cabling construction erection finishing. my role was an electrical team lead and the team was a multi skilled collective of mechanical and electrical engineers like myself where involved in most roles and installation of all components generator air conditioning, cabinets sensors switches ter-minating, Tower Tower connections bolt talk and tensioning all aspects of wind turbine build. I gained great experience in running a team and helping speed up the construction eg new parts missing parts tools and equipment ordered and checked tool box talks daily work plans and follow-ing high health and safety routine.
