Kansas Association of School LIbrarians Workshop
On April 2nd, Larned High School hosted to the Kansas Association of School Librarians Workshop for District 3. Gwen Lehman planned and organized the workshop with the help of Mary Butel from Cheney, KS.
The day began at 8:30am with registration followed by a Welcome from Mr. Langdon. Following the welcome, we held our district business meeting where Juanita Jamison, the current President-Elect & upcoming KASL President, announce the new President-Elect for 2011-2012 will be Gwen Lehman. She also presented information on the fall KASL Conference to be held in Salina, KS.
Next, participants enjoyed sessions on RSS Feeds, Netvibes, Web 2.0 tools, William Allen White program and Participatory Librarianship. After the sessions, we were served a wonderful lunch prepared by Mrs. Gatterman, Mrs. Fitzgerrel, Mrs. Hudson and FCCLA.
