LHFMBSC to host two-day mission revival
The Louisiana Home & Foreign Mission Baptist State Convention Inc. will host a two-day revival, Wednesday, June 17; and Thursday, June 18, at Greater St. Lawrence Baptist Church, 2911 Cypress St.
Sis. Pauline Hurst of Greater St. Mary Baptist Church in Lake Charles, will be the guest lecturer each night.
The Rev. Tom Hamilton Jr., pastor of Pilgrim Baptist Church in Alexandria and a member of the Convention’s Home Mission Board, will preach June 17.
The Rev. Solomon Shorter Sr., pastor of True Vine Baptist Church in Alexan-dria, will preach June 18.
Services will begin at 7 nightly.The Rev. Larry Cross, pastor Berean Baptist Church of Hammond, is the Home
Mission Board’s president.

Gospel music artist Beverly Crawford comes to the Hill to help celebrate pastor’s annviersary
PINEVILLE – In a three-day event, the members of Zion Hill Baptist Church, 312 Hunter St., celebrated the 13th-year anniversary of their leader, the Rev. Joshua Joy Dara Sr.
The event, which was held June 5-7, featured contemporary gospel singer Beverly Crawford in concert and her husband, Bishop Todd Crawford as the 11 a.m. Sunday speaker.
The celebration began Friday, June 5, with church members honoring their pastor and his wife, Elizabeth, with musical gifts, dances and a spe-cial performance by Joshua’s Army, a drill team.
A reception followed in the Family Life Center.
On Sunday, June 7, the day began with Pastor Charlie Gilmore preaching at the 8 a.m. worship service.
