Topic: My Favorite Hobbies
Content Standard:4.1 By the end of the 6-year primary schooling, pupils
will be able to enjoy and appreciate rhymes,
poems and songs.
Learning Standards:4.1.1 Able to enjoy action songs, jazz chants and poems Through non-verbal response.
4.1.2 Able to sing action songs, recite jazz chants and poems with correct pronunciation, rhythm and Intonation.
Objectives: By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to
- Sing along to the jazz chants with correct pronunciation and
rhythm
-guess action with correct hobbies
Time : 60 Minutes

-Teacher asks pupils what the people in the
board are doing.

Activity 1 -Teacher show a jazz chant about “my hobby”
-student will repeat the jazz chant after
teacher
-student will created their own jazz chant
about their hobby

Activity 2 Divide pupils into three groups.- Each group then selects the jazz chant that they created.(example of jazz chant are given by teacher)
- Each group performs the jazz chant.
Teaching aids:
Lyrics of jazz chant.

-Pupils will be divided into two
groups, group A and group B
-Each group will discuss on the
actions they are going to perform
to another group.
-One pupil from group A comes
out and does the action.
-Pupils from group B have to
guess what his / her hobby is.

-If they get the correct answer the
game will continue with the other
members from the same group.
