EMS Complaints for 2010
• Family called and complained about their family members glasses being broken after gurney tipped over. – Resolved at staff level
• Family member complained about a medic crew forcing entry into a family members home due to a lifeline call. Medic crew found a patient screaming inside, tried to find way in and entered by dislodging an AC unit from a window. Medic crew wasn’t advised by dispatch that family was enroute with a key. It was estimated that the patient had been laying on floor for a day or two.– Resolved at staff level

2010 EMS Equipment Highlights
• New remounted ambulance• 3 New PowerPro Gurneys• Received grant for new E Series Defibrillator• New P25 compliant radios installed in all
emergency apparatus• Received 90 doses of Duo Dotes
2010 EMS Training Highlights
• Expanded online training programs to include ACLS and EPC
• Idaho Optional Modules– Blood glucose monitoring, epi pens, pelvic
immobilization devices, CPAP, IM & SQ injections and RSI.
• EVIP for all employees• New reserve firefighters• Paramedic consortium agreement with LCSC

• Protocol updates and new format for Asotin County
• New MPD in Asotin County• New MPD contract with Dr. Jay Hunter• Based M-73 out of ACFD#1 Station• Modified EMS response assignments to
improve response times in Lewiston• Guarantee paramedic staffing at Station 4• IAFF contract extension • EMS taskforce formed
