We are excited that you have joined us forthis historical event. This production marksthe introduction of a brand new theatrecompany in Southern California created bythe City of Rancho Cucamonga.

What has been created for this inauguralproduction has been under the carefuldirection and guidance of veteran InlandEmpire Director Gary Krinke and one of thenewest and in-demand Musical Directors,David Lamoureux. They understand ourvision for excellence and we thank them forbringing this venture to life.

We have been blessed with amazingdesigners as well who have designed awonderfully theatrical environment. We’dalso like to thank our production team,headed by the tireless Martin Dickey and

Hope Kaufman, who arethe star performersbehind the scenes, theypull everything togetherand coordinate with theLewis Family Playhouse’s lauded technicalcrew headed by Tony Schondel.

Theatre should be a labor of love. Everyperson involved with Sweeney Todd hasopened their hearts and gone above andbeyond the call of duty to make tonight’sperformance all that we think a night out atthe theatre should be. Welcome to the Inaugural production ofBroadway at the Gardens’ Sweeney Toddat the Lewis Family Playhouse.

We are excited to introduce the City’s newest professionaltheatre project, Broadway at the Gardens as it presents its firstproduction, Stephen Sondheim’s musical Sweeney Todd.

With the successful response from parents and grandparentswho are attending the Playhouse for theatrical productions fortheir children, the addition of Broadway style-musical theatreproductions for adult audiences has been increasingly requested.Broadway at the Gardens is intended to accommodate that requestwhile complimenting the existing theatre offerings at thePlayhouse. Annually, Broadway at the Gardens will produce a highquality, high tech, high energy musical theatre experience offeringone of the industry’s hottest titles for adult or general audiences.

The Cultural Center and its offerings are truly a fulfillmentof a community dream to bring arts and culture to RanchoCucamonga in a facility that is unmatched in the region. Weare extremely proud of the Lewis Family Playhouse at the CulturalCenter and the name it has established for itself in our communityand beyond as a premiere cultural destination point. We hope thatyou enjoy your visit to the Cultural Center for our first productionof Broadway at the Gardens as we stage the classic, yet newlyregenerated Sweeney Todd. JOHN LALONDE (SWEENEY TODD)

John is thrilled to be doing Sweeney Todd again after having appearedmany moons ago as Anthony in Cal State LA's ACTF award winningproduction. No stranger to this theatre, he recently directed ourproductions of The Secret Garden and Joseph…Dreamcoat.He alsomadea brief appearance here as the Duke in Big River directed by Susan Sluka-Kelly. Other favorite roles include Eric in Phantom, Capt Von Trapp in The

Sound of Music, Oscar in Sweet Charity, The Cat in Honk! and Frank in Annie Get Your Gun. Heappeared as Frank-n-Furter in the Hawaiian Premiere of The Rocky Horror Show, and OffBroadway in AChristmasTwist andWutheringHeights, theMusical. Last year hewon an ITL awardfor his performance as Michael in I Do! I Do!, Jud in Oklahoma and as Cervantes/Quixote inPerformance Riverside's production of Man of LaMancha. Recently John became the artisticdirector of the Candlelight Pavilion in Claremont. He will be reprising his role in Man ofLaMancha during their 2009 season. VERONICA FREETHVeronica began her singing career in Ben Bollinger’s Citrus Singers in 2003.Her most recent performances include Dreamgirls and West Side Story.Veronica is also making her name as a choreographer working with theFoothill Theater Workshop and Azusa Aztec Singers. She is currently asenior at Azusa Pacific University, studying to be a teacher.Veronica wouldlike to thank her family and especially her new handsome husbandBrigham for always supporting her.

AMANDA GETTINGERAmanda is blessed to be performing in this amazing musical with such awonderful cast and production team. She was last seen at the Lewis FamilyPlayhouse as Lily in The Secret Garden. Some of her favorite roles includeAntonia in Man of La Mancha, Narrator in Joseph, Ida in Honk! and IreneMolloy in Hello Dolly. RAE HENDERSONRae is a recent theater alum of Azusa Pacific University, and currently worksas a costumer and theater teacher in the eastern LA area. Previous creditsinclude: Thoroughly Modern Millie (Mrs. Meers), Les Miserables (Cosette),Antigone (Antigone),SweeneyTodd (Mrs.Lovett). She is absolutely thrilled atanother shot in this brilliant show and would like to express her love andthanks to the warrior raccoon.

PAUL HOVANNESPaul’s last theatrical performance was over a year ago, playing a drunkencockney in My Fair Lady at the Candlelight Pavilion Dinner Theater. Sincethen he has found himself drifting more toward blues and rock music, butcouldn’t pass up this opportunity.Hewould like to thank everyone involvedinmaking this amazing showpossible,Olivia for getting him to audition,hisfamily for their support and Lenny for everything.

JAIME KURTZJaime fell in love with musical theatre attending graduate school at theUniversity of Virginia. While there, she performed such roles as MarthaJefferson in 1776, Edith in The Pirates of Penzance and Susie in Babes in Arms.Jaime moved to California in 2006 and has recently been seen as Anne inA Little Night Music and Elsa in The Sound of Music. Offstage, Jaime is apsychology professor at Pomona College in Claremont.

JASON JAMESJason is a singer, actor, dancer and choreographer. Credits include: Lost inthe Stars (NYC) Broadways Today,Tomorrow (NYC Original Material Concert)Sister Amiee (New Musical Workshop, NYC) Amadeus (Reg. Tour), A FunnyThing…Forum. Master Classes with Emily Skinner,Elaine Petricoff, and AdamPelty. Jason teaches and choreographs across the country,and is a judge forNational Dance Competition. Jason is a graduate of The AmericanMusical &Dramatic Academy in NYC. It’s going to be big! HTB!

ISAAC JAMESIsaac is overwhelmedwith excitement to be performing in one of his favoriteshows of all time. Latest credits: Eric in Phantom, The Beast in numerousproductions of Beauty…, the east coast premiere of The Producers, andRichard Sherman's premiere musical Pazzazz! Isaac has also had theopportunity to work personally with Broadway composers such as JasonRobert Brown and Stephen Schwartz. Thanks to Mom, Dad, Brothers, Graceand his adopted sisters for loving and supporting him.

BRENDA HAINESBrenda is delighted to be working with the top-notched cast and crew ofSweeneyTodd. She originates fromUpstate NewYork,where she performedin many venues. Her roles include Adelaide in Guys and Dolls, Roxie Hart inChicago, both Goldie and Leah in Two by Two and Nancy in Play it AgainSam. She is grateful to have such supportive friends and family.

OLIVIA PATTERSONOlivia is thrilled to be a part of this amazing production. Some of herfavorite past roles include Eva in Evita, Dolly in Hello Dolly, Edith in Pirates ofPenzance, Woman 1 in Songs for a New World and Nettie in Carousel. As avocal performance major at California State University Northridge, sheperformed numerous opera roles. She would like to thank her parents fortheir continuous love and support.

JONATHAN PAGEJonathan Page is pleased, proud and grateful to be performing once againat the Lewis Family Playhouse. Some of his credits include Ragtime(coalhouse understudy, ensemble), Grease (Roger), Big River (Jimunderstudy, ensemble), Crazy for You (Moose), and SideShow (Jakeunderstudy, 3-legged man). KELLEY SQUIRESKelley has been the Choral and Musical Theater Director at RCHS for fouryears. She has been seen at the Lewis Family Playhouse before in Side bySide by Sondheim, Joseph and Smokey Joe's Cafewith RCCT and is thrilled tobe in the first Broadway at the Gardens cast! She would like to thank God,her family and friends and James her theatre buddy for their love andinspiration!

ANN THOMASAnn is known for lead roles in On Golden Pond,The Full Monty,TheWizard ofOz,Annie,Mame andOnceUponaMattress. She started on the stage 17 yearsago; she hit the “boards” and has never looked back. Ann and her husbandTom have three daughters and a granddaughter that they adore. Ann isthankful for the opportunity to be part of this wonderful cast and crew!

VIL TOWERSVil is returning to RCCT after a brief, yet memorable stint in Smokey Joe'sCafe. He has worked in theaters throughout SoCal for about 25 years andhas played a wide range of roles from Jesus in Godspell to Riff-Raff in RockyHorror Show. In his spare time he writes and performs original sketchcomedy with "The MoHo's" from Hollywood, run by comic genius FredWillard and his wife Mary.Now, bring on the blood!

JOEY NESTRAJoey is thrilled to be making his Lewis Family Playhouse debut.
