A timer and alarm app featuring three pre-alarm notifications. While most timers and alarms play lots of sounds, MIN TO GO will announce, "60 minutes to go," "15 minutes to go," and "5 minutes to go." Each announcement begins with a few pleasant tones, followed by a calming female voice. iOS
One of the more unique apps for students, Coach.me works with the idea that people respond particularly well to friendly, informal feedback and that a written statement of intent makes people more inclined to actually complete a task. You’ll also receive tips and rewards for completing the tasks you set out to do, while keeping track of your progress. iOS, Web, & Android
Focus Booster is essentially a timer that splits up your revision sessions with a number of little breaks in order to keep you as productive as possible. The added benefit of the digital version is that you can track exactly how much time you’ve spent on a certain topic, as well as being able to analyze this activity on your dashboard. Web app
Time/Task management apps
Time timer - Visual timer available as an app and as an analog clock and watch. Allows the child to Visualize time. iOS & Stand alone devices.
Rescue Time - Sometimes it is difficult to realize how much time you are wasting. Rescue time sends you weekly reports to indicate where you spend your time. You may be shocked to discover how much time you are wasting. You can even set goals to help keep you on track and improve your productivity. View your progress on your dashboard, in the weekly email report, and in the goals report. Web app
First Then Visual Schedule- Use FTVS to create schedules that combine images, text, sound and even video for their kids, who may find them more fun and easier to follow than text-only schedules. Kids can rate their own progress and customize schedules according to their learning styles. Any schedules you create can be saved, shared electronically or printed. iOS
Designed to help users prioritize and track the amount of time they spend on individual tasks or smaller parts of a larger undertaking. The app relies on the idea that individuals are more productive when taking short breaks in between work. Users can program a series of tasks into 30/30, timing how long they spend dedicating effort and moving on to a new task when the app indicates time has expired. iOS
more time/task management apps Priority Matrix helps you change the way you think about your list by moving tasks into four categories: Critical & Urgent (do now); Critical, but not Urgent (do later); not Critical, but Urgent (delegate); uncategorized (delete or move). It lets you focus on what needs to be done, so you will waste less time finishing tasks that don’t matter. iOS, Mac, PC, Android
Nag - a reminder app a persistent alarm clock that will keep pestering you until you do what needs to be done.
