Making letters and numbers in the snow-
children can use sticks, fingers and
footprints to make numbers and letters in
the snow.
Using sticks to create letters and numbers-
sticks/twigs can be arranged to practice
the shapes of letters and numbers.
Counting games using nature- as you throw
snowballs into the water, you can count as
each one enters the water.
Trees and leaves can also be a good way
of using letters and numbers- good source
for learning to count and practice
numeracy
Counting and learning numbers with stones-
stones can be grouped together to
promote counting and can also be used to
create number and letter shapes
Writing with rocks on rocks can be
helpful for older children.
Using nature can be a fun
way of practicing and
learning about letters and
