Dear Richard Burgher ,
Re: Sponsoring Content with Profane Language
Because of your sponsorship of the program "The Blackburns of Royal Palm Estate" on Sunday
July 7, 2013, we are holding Marathon Insurance Brokers liable for the production of the grossly
offensive matter contained therein and its assault on our children, perpetrated by the
irresponsible operators of CVM Television.
At 9:21pm on the foregoing date, the following dialogue was recorded:
[D ialogue - Jenni fer Chambers]: “Wid har big old titty dem”
This transmission of the term “titty” is considered PROFANE, because it contains language so
grossly offensive to members of the public who actually hear it as to amount to a nuisance.
The content requires further internal editing by the broadcaster.
This transmission violated regulation 30 (d) of the Television & Sound Broadcasting Regulations
which state that no licensee shall permit to be transmitted - any indecent or profane matter.
“Titty (a derivative of Tits) is one of seven dirty words prohibited from broadcast radio and
television at ANY time.
As a corporate sponsor, Marathon Insurance Brokers made this broadcast possible and we out-
rightly condemn this deplorable affiliation and reckless media buy.
“The Blackburns of Royal Palm Estate” is a local television show with amateur actors, sub-
standard quality of production and mediocre story line which appeals mainly to low income
householders. Ethics and morals should never be compromised by a corporate entity for the

benefit of reaching potential customers to the detriment of our children.
As you know, corporate social responsibility is the aim to embrace responsibility for the
company's actions and encourage a positive impact through its activities on the environment,
consumers, employees, communities, stakeholders and all other members of the public sphere.
Since Marathon Insurance Brokers sponsored this offensive matter without regard for its own
image and public decency, we are convinced that morals and values are lacking and there can be
no corporate social responsibility because of that.
We (the public) own the airwaves, not the Broadcasting Commission and certainly not the
operators of CVM TV. We therefore reserve the right to take actions against anyone; including
the regulator, when they operate in contravention of United States (first-world) contemporary
broadcast regulatory standards.
Considering that your response to our initial citation on July 26, 2013 was unfavorable then we
have apprised each member of our group along with the viewing public on your lack of regard
for public decency and reckless sponsorship and affiliation with objectionable content and will be escalating this advocacy without any further notice to you. Consumers will also be advised
against supporting your business which we are very good at advocating, of which those effectsyou will feel in due time.
We are demanding that you reconsider your proclivity to sponsoring this content on broadcast
television and desist from doing so and inform the operators of CVM Television that they have
violated the natural ethical standards of advertiser/broadcaster affiliation, which is to reflect a
positive image of a corporate entity.
Duty and corporate responsibility, good sense and taste MUST be reflected in your future
advertising and sponsorship decisions. We will not tolerate any corporate entity that supports
matter which lacks the foregoing elements on broadcast television.
We are encouraging you to allow good sense to prevail or suffer the consequences of reckless
advertising (sponsorship).
Sincerely,
Media Consumer
