Thomas G. Snow, Acting Director of the Office of Prosecutorial Development and Training: 'Mr. Andersen demonstrated a combination of long term vision and practical day to day problem solving. In a time devoted to instituting management reforms and creating standard operating procedures, Mick was a never ending source of new ideas and suggestions. For example, he assisted me in establishing standardized bi-weekly reporting from our overseas resident legal advisors (RLAs), made very useful contributions to the design of our improved office management information system, and drafted a comprehensive plan to regularize the smooth deployment of new RLAs. "Of Mick's many strengths, the one I most often drew upon was his gift as a writer. Whether assigned a lengthy policy piece, or a short, pithy paragraph for submission to the Attorney General's weekly report, the result was always clear, accessible, and analytically sound.
