Dear Sir,

With reference to your above tender for Supply, Delivery & Comprehensive Operation and Maintenance Contract for 5 (Five) Years of Truck Mounted Garbage Compactor Vehicles as per AMC Tender Specifications & Conditions), we would like to submit that our organization is one of the leading manufacturer of a wide range of Equipment for Municipal Solid Waste Management and have manufactured and supplied more than 1000 Nos. of Refuse Compactor Vehicle of various capacity to Municipal Corporation/ULBs/Private Service Providers.

As per above Tender Earnest Money Deposit of Rs. 40,00,000/- is to be deposited through Demand Draft. We would like to request you that the bidders may be allowed to submit Earnest Money Deposit in the form of Bank Guarantee from a Nationalized Bank which is common practice being followed by various government departments all over the country including Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, STP Department Tenders. Further, companies registered with National Small Industries Corporation Ltd. (NSIC), under Government purchase enlistment Scheme should be exempted from payment of Earnest Money deposit as per Government of India Purchase waiver benefit and Price preference Policy vide their letter No.21 (1)/2000-EP&M dated 28.08.2000. Copy of letter enclosed for your reference.

You are requested to give due consideration to our above submission and allow exemption for submitting EMD for bidders who are registered with NSIC, alternatively Bank Guarantee for EMD may be accepted.

You are also requested to extend the due date of submission by 7 days i.e. 10th Mar 2015.
