If you go to Downtown Austin you will see the largest Bat Colony in North America.

In South Texas Plains, there are some ranches like Diamond W Longhorn Ranch in the San Antonio area.

So you might just see a Longhorn grazing on grass.

If you go to the Cockrell Butterfly Center at The Houston Museum of Natural Science you can see the State Insect up close.
