RULES AND GENERAL INFORMATION
1. Cornerstone Dressage is covered by the rules and specifications of the current USEF Rule Book and
will be conducted and judged in accordance therewith. 2. Amateurs and Junior/Young Riders: Amateurs are defined by the rules and specifications of the current USEF Rule Book. All riders entering the Ad/Am classes must possess or have applied for a USEF Amateur Card prior to riding in the class. All riders in Amateur Divisions must present a USEF Amateur Card when picking up their number or they will not be allowed to show in the Amateur Division. Cards may be applied for at the show office. Jr/Yr classes (Junior / Young Rider) classes are open to riders under 21 years of age as of December 1, 2019. 3. CONDITIONS OF ENTRY: Every horse entered for competition will be under the control of the Horse
Show Management, but the Horse Show Management will, in no case, be responsible for any loss or damage that may occur, and it shall be a condition of entry that each exhibitor shall hold the Horse Show and its Directors harmless for any loss or accident to his horse, horses or equipment which may occur from sickness, fire or otherwise. 4. ENTRY PROCEDURES: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!! Entry Acceptance: NO ENTRY WILL BE EXCEPTED WITHOUT PAYMENT. Entries will be accepted on a first come-first serve basis until classes are filled. Entries received after classes are filled will be notified and, if desired, put on a waiting list. Those on a waiting list not getting into the show will have all fees refunded. NO PHONE entries will be accepted. All entries must be made on official entry blanks and filled out completely as to classes, exhibitors names, addresses, phone numbers, association numbers, and signatures. Parents or guardians must sign the official entry blank of a minor before a number will be released. Entries close and MUST BE RECEIVED BY FRIDAY, MARCH 8 . Credit Card will be accepted..
To avoid being late with your entry, riders may FAX or Scan and email their entry for a $15.00 FAX/Scan fee. FAX # (760-728-6325. Or Diana Muravez [email protected] 5. TESTS: The Current USEF, USDF, FEI and WDAA tests will be used. 6. SCRATCHES OR CHANGES TO ENTRY: Exhibitors have the responsibility of informing the Show
Office of their intention to scratch. Scratches before the closing date may be made for any reason and all fees will be refunded except office fees. NO REFUNDS AFTER THE CLOSING DATE: FRIDAY, MARCH 8, FOR ANY REASON. No-Shows riders will be billed for all unpaid entry fees. 7. LATE ENTRIES: All entries must be RECEIVED on or before the closing date or will be considered a late entry. Each late entry will be charged a late fee of $25.00. Late entries will be accepted and given a ride time only as schedule permits. 8. UNPAID CHARGES: Any exhibitor leaving the show with an unpaid balance of entry fees or feed bill, will be billed for these charges and a $40.00 billing fee will be added to the total due. Until these charges are settled, all future entries of rider and owner will be returned. 9. RETURNED CHECKS or DECLINED CREDIT CARDS: Returned Checks or declined credit cards will be charged with the following procedure: A 10% penalty (minimum $35.00) will be assessed for each returned check. 10. RIDING TIMES: Preliminary ride times will be posted on line at www.cornerstonedressage.com and mailed or emailed to all riders, official ride times will be posted on the scoreboard and on the internet www.cornerstonedressage.com by 6:00 pm the day before your scheduled ride. Adequate time intervals cannot be guaranteed when riders enter more than one horse in any class. If you enter classes in different levels or divisions ie. Open and Ad/Am-Jr/Yr, there may be a considerable time between rides. It is the responsibility of the rider to inform the management of any time conflicts at least 24 hours before the scheduled rides. Any changes after the show starts will be charged a $10.00 office fee. 11. ARENAS: 20 x 60 arenas of composition footing. Only horses entered in the show will be allowed in
warm-up area. No one on foot is allowed in designated warm-ups. Lunging is to be done ONLY in specified areas. All horses in the warm-up arenas must wear their competition numbers. All arena must be vacated while equipment is being used.
Rules Continued: 12. RIBBONS AND AWARDS: In classes where three or more riders complete the class, the winner will receive an award. If less than three, ribbons only will be given. Ribbons are awarded to fifth place 13. MANAGEMENT: Horse Show Management reserves the right to itself to interpret all questions and conditions in regard to or arising out of any incident in the show without claims for damages or recourse of any kind. All questions not covered in these rules and regulations shall be decided by the Horse Show Management; their decision will be final. The Horse Show Management reserves itself the right to refuse, accept conditionally, or to cancel any entries, disqualify riders or exhibitors, prohibit exhibition of entries and cancel award prizes, without claim to damages; to change, cancel or combine any classes, to reschedule classes after due notice to exhibitors, or to change rings or rotate judges. 14. HOSE/ WASHING: Do not wash horses in barn area. Please use the wash racks. We
recommend that you have a garden hose available. The show may impose a $100 fine on anyone washing horses in the barn aisles. 15. STABLING: Fri – Sun $125, Sat – Sun $100, $75 day stall. 16. SCHOOLING HORSES: Horses not entered in the show must be registered with the Horse
show office and will be given a number to be worn at all times outside of the stall. Appropriate stall or ground fees, drug fees and a $ 35 Per show day schooling fee must be paid. Any person(s) riding
a schooling horse must have signed an official entry blank and/or release form. No school horses are allowed in the warm-up area during the competition. Schooling horses scratching after scratch date will be charged a $15.00 office fee. 17. DOGS: Dogs must be on a leash at all times. Stray dogs will be impounded and held for $50 fine. 18. PARKING: Parking is allowed in designated areas only. Violators improperly parked, including
NO PARKING ZONES AND FIRE LANES, will be issued citations and/or towed from premises at the vehicle owner’s expense. (U.S. Mun. Code - 80.71-4/ CA. Veh. Code 22658A) 19. OVERNIGHT PARKING: RV or overnight parking available for $85/night. If you have
questions about overnight parking please call (818) 841-3554. 20. MOTORIZED VEHICLES: Minors who do not have a valid driver’s license which allows them to operate a motorized vehicle in the state in which they reside will not be permitted to operate a motorized vehicle of any kind including, but not limited to, golf carts, motorcycles, scooters, or farm utility vehicles on the competition grounds of licensed competitions. Wheelchairs and other mobility assistance devices for individuals with disabilities are exempt from this rule.
